Fallout
I got some requests for a Fallout game, so I was just wondering if anyone would be interested.
The game would be somewhat untraditional (altered timeline, setting and such), and I might not even use the Fallout game system, but the general premise will be the same. For those of you who have never had anything to do with Fallout, the game is basically based in America some years after a global nuclear war, and deals with a group of characters' efforts to survive and make some sort of meaningful existence out of the barren wasteland that used to be their world.
As you can see I am pretty enthusiastic about this. I'm going to work on the timeline later and will have more information up soon, as well as dates for playing. As for right now I just want to see if anyone would play.

Been a long time since I was in a game with you Striker, so I'll play. I have always wanted to try the game that spawned the computer version of said computer game. However, I don't really know the system, though I'm sure I can pick it up fairly easily.

i'd like to give fallout a try. it sounds like fun, but i've never played it and i'm unfamiliar with the system.
is there a rulebook i can find online?

has character sheets, rulebook in PDF, and errata. It's actually a free RPG.
I'm not sure if I'm going to use the fallout pnp system per se, I will probably end up making some modifications for better gameplay.. if I recall, there were a few quirks with the system.
But anyway, there WILL be a session. I'm going to try to shoot for something next weekend, depending on whether I can write up the world material and such by then. Just going to cover character creation, backgrounds and maybe a short introduction there, though. World info will hopefully be up sometime during this week, depending on my schedule.

Yeah, been a while since I've been around. I was trying to find the fallout pnp online books, since I lost them a while back. Well, I came to discover that www.imaphysco.com doesn't seem to be there anymore. Anyone know where the site is now?

I think the "Fallout RPG" project is dead. That site is gone (I posted a link to it above in this thread also) along with the site they were planning on moving to, [url]www.falloutrpg.com[/url]. I still have the PnP book on PDF, I think, if you want me to send it to you over a messenger or something (preferably MSN, because for my comp, AIM never lets me do file transfers).

I found it at a few fan sites an stuff. Did they ever come out with version 3 of the rules? Everything I've found is just the 2, but I know they were working on 3 for a while.

Oh, you did? Cool.
I don't think Jason ever released version 3. I have a "rough draft" copy of 3.0 that he released just to show people a few of the revisions, but there's not enough in it to play with, so if we played Fallout here we would be using version 2.
