Anyone here play Star Wars d20?

Eh I used to run Star Wars West End Games..was a d6 system, don't think anyone knows about it but me though. The d20 system I uh...don't know, at all.

Wait people actually know the system? Holy crap, I thought that was just me. How is the new d20 system better? WEDG always seemed so simplistic to me, easy to roll for etc...maybe I'm too used to URPS.

I suppose so, I just liked the whole "you roll dice, you add up the dice. You re-roll the wild dice like 500 times because its rigged for a 6 (damn Matt and his Conduit)." Oooh I liked Jedi Master fights especially:

"So yeah I'm going to deflect those 14 blaster bolts then attack all the Stormtroopers. Lets see....22D in Sense, 15D in Lightsaber..."
DM: "Oh god damnit. Fuck the rolling, you kill them all."

You sure could. I had a player that had a droid he wanted to transfer into my campaign...well I made the mistake of thinking "oooh Droids, their attributes suck" (me having looked at R2 units etc) so I said ok.....and then I witness the IG-88 clone in action. I come in and watch this droid use a jetpack and dual rocket launchers...not pretty. Yeah you could play a droid, that was the only time anyone ever did, no one liked them. One of my sessions involved gathering the other PC's to take out this one PC who had built a droid factory...The PC in question was a shotgun-toting, heavily armored J'Quille...man those earlier campaigns were fucked up.

Wow, a Star Wars campaign. I saw the books in a bookstore and browsed through them and the system seemed interesting to me. I would greatly be interested in playing-- but I don't really want to buy the books.

if you can find a way for me to read the rules without searching for the book i'm in, if it's that good i might just buy the thing

Yeah I'm interested to see this 'conversion' you spoke of earlier. It'd probably make things a lot easier for me to learn it quickly.

Oh...man some of our old Jedi were truly insane. The Old Republic campaign had them start out as Padawan and they ended up like Grand Masters! You know how hard it is to find worthy opponents for Grand Masters other than Dark Lords? Heh....well I haven't played in a long time and maybe d20 is a better way.

I'm interested of course, just like everyone else, but I have the horrible handicap of requiring teaching!

That might be a little hard...seeing as Saber lost the books and everything :) (or never had them). I'm sure its not that different though, we can find the rulebook somewhere and do this if we are really motivated.

Excellent...most excellent. Once you have them you can just say the minor differences from the d20 systems, and then we shall all know how to play yet another system.

I now have the Revised Corebook for SW d20, and I have learned all the major differences between it and DnD (mostly vitality points, different classes and the Force, oh and armor gives DR). I definitely think it'd be cool to play a game of SW :)

Mancy was speaking to me and i believe a game of Starwars D20 would be fun and intresting....definatly a change from the norm....and rifts....(i've been needing something other than vibro-blades...)

I have alot of experiance in the D20 Star Wars. Ran about 30 games now, I like playing more though. So Im all for it have not dropped the cash for the Revised book yet I still have the Episode I book. Shouldn't be much different a few prestige classes and such.
