Rogue / NetHack / Angband
Has anyone ever considered or know of a place where someone has: converted a rogue / nethack type game back into pen and paper? I specifically mention Angband (and all its variants) above because I play that most often. But it seems to me that the game developers have strayed far enough from the D&D roots that a new game might be lurking in the wings.
Or has anyone incorporated ideas from these games back into any pen and paper game?

I've heard of, but I have never played those titles. What are they about? My guess would be they are spy games or something.

ADoM.
Well, it wasn't successful, but they tried.

they are ASCII only computer RPGs in which you choose a race a class and hack your way into oblivion picking up various magic weapons along the way Think Diablo/Diablo II but the entire thing will generally fit on a single floppy disk.
I had forgot about ADoM and I thought there was something else called JADE (?), but I don't remember.

JADE's the Java version of ADoM.
Java Advanced Domain Engine or something.
Haven't had a look at that for a while, maybe it's done now.
