Class Based versus Skill Based
I do not want any grand arguments started here because I'm well aware of the numerous amount of flame wars on this subject. HOWEVER, I would like to know if anyone has a links to documented flame wars or intelligent discussions on this topic. Arguments for both or either side of the issue.
For those confused (probably no one) A class based system limits characters based on classes and defining characters to some degree by the class they choose. (Fighter, Mage). Skill Based does not have a Class but a character is defined by the skills they choose (Magic-slingin' Sword wrestler tofu cooker underwater basket weaving fool)
Thanks.

Class Based versus Skill Based
Well lets see: For those familiar with URPS, that is the perfect example of skill based char gen. DnD is the Class-based kind. Both have their places and good/bad sides. I really don't see this as a big issue anymore though, if you prefer one or the other then just switch systems and there you go, bam problem solved.
Lord of Castle Black and host of the never-ending party. Collects Morganti weapons and illegal books. Likes Eastern brandy, his sword Blackwand, and going on killing sprees.
