Free New Phlan Recap

Players Involved: Saber, Darklook, Melubb, Deathwolf, Striker, Acid

The adventuring group arrived in New Phlan by boat, and wandered around looking at the stockaded community before arriving at the Council Hall and seeing the proclamation:

"Be it known that the council is interested in reclaiming the remaining blocks of the city of New Phlan. To reclaim said blocks they must first be cleared of monsters, vermin, and other uncivilized inhabitants. To this end the Council is offering a reward to any person or group who is responsible for clearing any block of the old city."

The group then went inside and spoke with the Town Clerk, paid a nominal registration fee (25 gp) and became known as "Bouldershoulder's Block Clearer's." After signing up the Clerk told them they should clear the old slums to the west of New Phlan, and directed them towards a tavern at their insistence.
The group then went to the Silver Tankard Inn, where Rindar and Ivak tried to drink the bartender out of his stock of mead, Zealt had a nice conversation with a lady,and Dakmor slept on the bar table. After obtaining rooms and sleeping the rest of the night away, they awoke in the morning and set out towards Old Phlan.
They neared the West Gate of Old Phlan and discovered a group of orcs had set up camp there, firing at them with a ballista while the PC's used fallen masonry and debris to provide cover. During the battle Zealt and Ivak were rendered unconscious, but all the orcs save 3 were slain and the group gained control of the gate and ballista.
While resting, the dwarves discovered a secret cache hidden in the stonework, and found a veritable treasure hoard there. This precipitated the group to argue about how to divide the newly found loot.
