the Tri-Stat system is good for making pure role playing campaigns, and thats what i would like to do (as soon as i find an idea, and build on it)
my first Campaign wont be for a bit, but it will be sometime

if anyone has an idea for a seroius game, please send basic (as in "some sort of mech game set in the year 2624, with a monarchy set in place) ideas to palhopps@hotmail.com (hrmm... might have just made up a good idea right on the spot)

also, i would like to know if anyone would like to play a tri-stat game hosted by me, if i get enough i will look into making it so i can play it on PnPO, if not, il just go with my orignal idea, and find people around IRL and just play games here in my town

My main question is:

BESM Tri-Stat and BESM d20. Which is better?

frankly damion, thats not a good question

look at it this way, Tri-Stat will mostly lean towards more Role Playing
and d20 will do the same, but it is more detailed, and is more commonly referred to in the hoard as 'roll' playing

their both good, and depending on what type of game you want to host, it kind of gives you more options

like for me, tri-stat would be a good way for me to learn to become a DM without haveing to learn ALL the rules that come with the D20 System

ATF is somewhat like Tri-Stat, though we dont have something in it like Tri does. the skills are somewhat the same, though in atf, you can get a lot in certain skills, where tri will have a max of 6 lvls, the least having 2.

so it has to do with preferences, so dont go about asking other people what they think, just try it your self, otherwise, if you decide that it sucks because someone told you, and you dont bother to try, then for all you knwo, you could be missing out on something that would have been good for you, but not for that person

BESM's pretty cool. The best thing about it being that it's nonlevel based and easy to learn. Ok, that's two things, but it's still cool. If someone were to run a campiang, I might play, depending on my schedule.

The Year is 4624 A.D. the earth is ruled by a single Monarchy, which has been ruling for almost 2621 years. The Empire was first made in 2003 when a single person was able to bring the nations together into one, he was made 'Monarch' and his line of family have been ruling ever since.
The new Monarch, Joevane Miklick, has only been in rule for 221 years now. He has been ruling with an Iron Fist, though people still love him. wether or not these people are supporting him through free will, or through fear, no one knows.
During the Rule of Mordan the Second, who ruled in the year 2400 R.E. a rebel resistane was formed to combat Mordans rule. they were never really able to take down the mad Monarch, but years later with Joevan in power, the need for more protection rose, and the efforts of the Rebel Alliance grew. Now the Empire and the Rebel's are at each others throats, each trying to destroy the other, so they can keep, or take back the rule of people of earth

Notes:
Fashion: The Fashion is mostly set in Europe in the era of Camelot, but with Technology added to it.
Govt.: Monarchy
Health: because of science, 75% of all knowen killer viruses are gone, there still is such things as the common cold, and the flu, but nothing that will kill you. most of the stuff thats running around is as harmless as a beesting
Military: for the most part, the Militarty uses Mech's. Mech's vary in size, from one story tall Mech's, to 6 story tall Mech's. Each size usaly has a purpose, 1 story tall mech's are scouts, 3 story tall mech's are medium defending mechs, built for defense, and medium attack mech's, built for... well... attacking.
there are also normal foot soilders as well, mainly used to keep the peace in towns, guard places, help in attacks where mech's cant be used, etc...
there are some advance weapons, such as lasers, but there still is some moderen day weapons as well.
