Your program is awesome but there are a few things it seriously needs, or at least that I need.

1. Die Roller: Needs the ability to add two or more die rolls together (IE, by typing: "/roll 1d20+1d4") and display a breakdown of the results "(1d20[15]+1d4[2]=17)" for example. I play the Alternity system and each roll in the game uses two dice, the way it's set up now is a lot more difficult to deal with. Several other RPG systems use multiple dice as well.

2. Whiteboard: Needs options to change the pen sizes, and change background color. An undo function would be awsome too. Being able to assign a static background would be cool too, by importing an image file. (see handouts below)

3. Handouts: The handout button needs some way of importing image files that a GM has drawn in a paint program. Some way of storing them away so the players can bring them up again at any time they need to look at it again would be cool too.

4. Servers: Is there any way to host your own server? Nothing would suck more than setting up a gaming session one night and finding out that both servers are down.

Plus many players may not be very computer savvy and would have difficulty figuring out how to change the server / find out which one the game is hosted on etc. Although I do understand it's easier to build a community around your software if it has a centralized server setup.

Thank you for listening, the multiple dice thing is the most important to me, and I would imagine pretty easy to program in.

Thanks,

Your number 3 have been planned and will eventually be implemented.

The answer to your number 4 is no and probably won't ever be implemented. But nowdays it is quite rare for both server to go down at the same time.

Here is the feature report that you can check out to see what kind of things are eventually going to be implemented.

That is why most ADs that have been done for OPNPW links to

http://www.opnpw.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=163&start=0

Which explains most of the functions, commands and how to change servers.

I will leave rest of your questions and suggestions for the programmer/Admin/Creator (Tux), as I am unable to answer them.

That PDF file link is broken, and to be honest, I've never seen a link to the list of "planned features" that worked....not sure why.

Well that sucks, but It did work, I am guessing it stopped working after the move was made. Well now that the broken link is mentioned, whenever Tux reads the post maybe he will look into it.

I can confirm this, it used to work =O

There's a bunch of new features in the next version when it's released. Char sheets....... er.... I forget

"Don't let history... happen to you."

The link is fine, it worked until I moved the server. Terribly sorry about that, moving the server is a deal of work, inbetween work and such, works now.

Other stuff is covered in one place or another.

>oooh it's tux

>get him

>me get him?

>are you insane?

i can answer some things. see tux policies subsection c paragraph twelve subheading four.

on servers if you don't have the handout.

"there is not now nor will there ever be any way for players to run their own servers, the server is the proprietary product of one brad bierman, and will not ever change hands. the source code for the client is available, but the server is not covered in the agreement."

good? i can reference tux policies subsection d paragraph three subheading two if you like, the availability of source code.... it goes into some depth.

or you could just look up old topics, there's plenty in the source code selling topic.
