Sounds like fun, Darklook,... I can make a 11th gen vamp., make it a caitiff, if ok,..that follows the Camarilla rules. If not caitiff, then maybe Brujah.

Yeah we can spare these two points on generation and use it somewhere else plus being 11th generation.

And of course I am in like I said. I'm playing with some clans still though and will read more about the disciplines before I make my decision.

Hey sounds like a good storyline and such. I don't know what i want to play yet but you can count me in.

Hmm...I'll brush up on some things, and we'll need to talk Darklook, as of right now I am considering it, but as I said I'd like to get to know the setting and such better to get a 'feel' for it.

I recall the heated comments made the other night, but after reading the exposition I am suddenly pulled out of my mired isolationism and compelled to sign up....despite my reservations. That is, I would like to, if you weren't too offended from the evening in question :?: And if not...

Caltiffs are fine even if they are anarchs. And since you are making it 11th gen, I am assuming it's the kind of caltiff that doesn't know it's sire, not the kind with thin blood. You will also just have one little side objective, that will differ from others. And nice to see you again Mark.

I don't know if you have the Vampire the masquerade handbook, but if you don't, I am sure you can still get it on kazaa, or if you want the book it self you can get it at http://www.white-wolf.com/vampire.html. I can give you a pdf version over msn as well.

Our first game will be November 25th. That's Tuesday if everyone can make it that day. If we have all the characters done much before that, our game will be on an earlier date as well.

The character is totally done, and I look forward to this prelude in a few hours (even have him slightly updated if you want the final final version :) ) Hopefully this is the beginning of a long lasting and fun campaign eh? :wink:

Ah the prelude...what to say about it? It set the tone, confused the hell out of me and gave me things to think about until the game proper starts. All in all, I believe it very nicely done Darklook, and I must applaud you.

Few other House Rules(more like few fixes)

Rolling Init- VTM's Rolling Initiative rule is retarded, and basically no one follows it, but i thought i mention it anyway, all you have to do is just roll initiative one time before each battle and declare your actions. Then after the last person with lowest init finishes, you each decare your actions again and proceed to action rolls without rolling init.

The above rules affect knockdowns so I have modified that as well.. So when a character is knocked down, while he is down gets -2 on his attack and defense rolls. It does not apply to damage rolls. To get up he must roll dex+athletics as usual which counts as an action.

I will post brawling chart for each of you here monday, just in case you ever run out of ammo.

wait.. shit.. run out of ammo? i was under the impression (from something i read in the HB) that bullets didn't do much more then stun or bruise a vampire.. let alone kill it.. or are we not going to be fighting other vampires.. cause if thats the case, i very wrongly misplaced 2 of my skills and if you'd allow, i'd like to change that..

Oh ho ho, bruises and punches are very weak when compared to lethal weapons. Bullets are considered as annoying as punches to vampires. But you can die from being punched too often (Hard, MUCH HARDER for a vampire), but it is possible. After being punched/shot like 20+ times, a vampire will begin to take dangerous amounts of damage.

In other words, if a chinese minigun brigade pumped 4,000,000 bullets into your skin, you are NOT getting away with "that bullets didn't do much more then stun or bruise a vampire.. "

thats why i'm asking questions.. since i've only an idea of what i'm doing and what is going on in this game right now.
it just seemed that the phb was telling me that a knife would was more severe to a vampire then 4 or 5 bullets would be.

"Chinese minigun brigade" is the funniest thing I've heard all day...then again it is 9 am, ahahah it's still good. Well Arch if you have any questions, Dark wanted me to help you out with stuff so just msn/aim me .

It depends on the bullets, Arch.

Bullets and fists do bashing damage to vampires. Vampires halve damage they take from bashing weapons (After soak).

Swords and knives do lethal damage to vampires. (And everything else). Vampires take lethal damage from them. (Which means they dont halve the damage)

A fist or bullet aimed at the head is counted as a lethal attack, so bullets aimed at the head are nothing to laugh at.

The weapon vampires need to watch and beware for are: Fire, Sunlight, Vampire Teeth, Werewolf Claws, and any sort of magical attack.

Let me add the supernatural claws that Gangrels can use to this list Acid just started. Or to be more exact.. beware those vampires that have Protean at level 2 and use their feral claws, too.

i can't rmember if there was a session tonight.. or if its tomorrow.. i had to close tonight, so there was no way i coulda been here.. and seeing as i got off an hour early due to brutal weather, and no one is on, i'm assuming there wasn't a session.. if its cause of my abscence, i'm sorry.. but it couldn't be avoided.

This is the summary of the game. If you missed a session this will be helpful, and it will help me give experience points properly.

This is kinda detailed..next time i will put short summaries. Since the first session is very significant i thought I write down enough information.

Chapter 1 : Pieces of Puzzles

The game started with everyone going to the conclave in an old castlelike building. The justicar in the conclave who hid his face under a golden sun mask for apperant reason introduced each one to all and gave them their objective. He mentioned that few years ago a island near hawaii was baught by a camarilla representative to make it into some kind of vampire paradise. What they didn't know that it was a lupine stronghold. So obviously the island became a warfield and it became much worse when the society of leopold found out about the island.

Few weeks ago they found a teenage girl tied on a pole with her tongue ripped off from the inside and her hands were cut upto her wrist. Wooden branches were inserted into the bloody end of the wrists. And her back was engraved with a poem that was written in her own blood. The vampires that found her was nice enough to rip the skin off her back while she was alive and bring it all the way to San Francisco to present it to the coterie. The poem was

"And the world will turn cold
And unclean things will boil up from the ground
And great storms will roll, lighting will light
Fires, animals will fester and their
bodies twisted will fall
so too our grandsires will rise from the ground."

The justicar explained that this Rah was the one elder who about two centuries ago were taken over by his inner beast and became completely insane. However he escaped and was not killed even after a scourge team was sent to put the mad dog down(which became obvious now after they found the girl). So after two centuries,now they are creating another team (which is the players team) to assassinate him once more. But this time this will be much more difficult since Rah seemed to have created a blood cult with blood bonded ghouls and Assamite Falaquis. This was the reason the elders were disappearing one by one. Now the justicar put's in a new twist...he wars about the new society of leopold with a cathanyan allys who devours vampires to lower their generations. However the justicar and the elders were wise enough to know that they can't sent any bunch of ancialle in to this hell of an island. So they created few ancialle teams (one of them are the players) and told them to find out who killed petrodon(another justicar) in chicago. He also let the players know that the sources says the assassin is in San Francisco looking for new target.

After the speech they went with Polidori ( a camarilla rep) who gifted them with weapons downstairs. While doing so they heard noise of all hell breaking down upstairs. Polidori went upstairs to investigate and came back to give the news of justicar and the other's death (the elders communicated through a video screen from another location, so they were safe.). whoever attacked them started thumping on the door of the room they were in so they escaped through a secret door behind a closet with help of Sam to enter a sewer, where they discovered hundreds of staked neonate bodies. But that was nothing strange, because few elders couldn't satisfy themselves with kine vitae anymore, so camarilla staked neonate vampires and fed them human blood everyday which was later taken from them by the elders kiss. However they ran through the sewer to find a leopold spy in training who started pissing on his pants after seeing real vampires..he started trusting the vampires after some sweet talk but was killed by fiisk from behind who thought since he has a gun he is harmful. They went outside to find a Cop who was furious about them being here in the middle of a curfew, thanks to venessa's enchanting voice(err...communicating skill) they calmed him down. Afterword Hatrius recieved a call from (elders?) that ordered them to go to a sewer behind "Zone" night club and eliminate the nosferatus . So a van pulled up as the call mentioned infront of them and the driver let them know that it was the nosferatus who attacked the conclave. The group went to the zone club to strategize. In the club they talked and Jack seduced couple of human girls. Afterward they went into the sewer whose entrance manhole was broken in half by super rey. In the sewer from under the dirty water nosferatu's ambushed them who mentioned about them interfearing with their work. This went on for a while...venessa cowered one of the nosferatus, jack put a bullet through a head of a nosferatu and then the door behind the nosferatus started making weird noise. Sounds of bone cracking behind the door made everyone a little uneasy. The nosferatus escaped...although they were far from being defeated. The metal enforced wooden door is almost getting sucked in..

and the party looks on in horror..and some planning to run like hell.

Everyone decided that's the day everyone can make it so ..the day was changed.

Summery of Session 2

Chapter 2- Friend or Foe?

The door was broken and the iron frame was pushed aside by an hideous abominaiton of meat, blood and bone mashed into a lumbering humaniod body, crwoned with a small fiendish skull. The party tries to run for it and reaches a dead end in the sewer. As they prepare for the battle the creature decides to attack sam with it's claws. Jack ran past the creature and into the room the creature came from. The room was filled with dead nosferatu corpses that were ripped into pieces, the floating red wet bones on sewer water was evidence that the massacre was done recently. Jack searched the dead bodies and found a book with a skin like cover. The language was unknown to jack but he kept it anyway. Meanwhile in the battle sam jumped into the dirty sewer water to save herself from the abomination, and the knee deep water did save her from the sharp claws. Venessa's dread gaze later on made the creature hesitate for a while before attacking again, making him venerable to further attacks. Hatrius used campfire and placed it upon it's neck. The creature taking massive damage jumps down to water to save itself. To do further damage venessa, sam and hatrius shoots at it and does some damage. Jack sneaks in from behind trying to catch some action as well. Now as they move on to kill the creature, Hatrius all of a sudden steps in trying to protect it. As the party argues the creature covers the 20 feet radius around him with pitch darkness (obtenebration , shroud of night). In the darkness the creature attacks Hatrius and proceeds to kiss him. The others confused by the situation tries to find each other and jack tries to help hatrius but gets thrown to sewer walls two times by the creature. Hatrius starts dying and all of a sudden the the sewer gets filled with red mist substance and all of them falls asleep. They wake up in a tattoo shop owned by a former prince, who tells them he saved them because his spies have informed him about the ancialle troupe invading the nosferatu havens. Anyway, the prince tells them that he have read one of his vampire customer's mind to reveal the killer of petrodon and his location. The prince then asks the troupe to go into malkavian owned village and steal an ancient enchanted item for him. The prince then leaves them to strategize, and as they do so, they hear a knock on the door.

Summery of Session 3

Chapter 3 - Investigating in the Dark

The session started with pollidori coming back to the pcs. He was wondering why they have invaded the nosferatu havens in the sewers. Jack and others told him that they thought elders have ordered them to do so, but pollidori denied that claim. Pollidori became suspicious of the group and left them. Willow the former prince came back for the group's decision. Willow asked them if they were ready to get the scepter for her, which willow will give them information about petrodon's assassin for. They wanted some more time because they needed to work out some things first. Jack asked for a car to ride around and do some investigation along with the group, and willow gave them a old crappy toyota corolla for the night. Jack and the others drove back to "The Zone" nightclub. Before they could do anything though, they were inturrupted by a group named De'lancy boys who started harrasing Vanessa. Jack and vanessa "talked them"(well..it involved talking) out of it. After this incident they took the bartender of the club zone to the lunch room of the club and started asking some question. With Sam's hard squeezes on shoulder the bartender soon started talking. He mentioned ...(i will leave this part out..since i don't want some pcs to know about it). Now to shut him up, Vanessa proceeded to drink his blood and commit diablerie. Jack tried to stop her quite a few times...and when he failed to talk her out of it, he gave up. So there they were...sam was pushing down the bartender to the floor while vanessa was drinking his blood. The assistant bartender visited the lunch room and saw this..he immidiately ran back to the front and proceeded to call the police. Jack now proceeded to talk the assitant bartender out of it..when he failed, he proceeded to talk to the police when they arrived. The diablerie was almost complete...but it became, well..faulty, when sam decided to drink some blood as well from the kindred bartender. The bartender died and started to disintegrate quickly. And vanessa gained nothing but some orgasmic pleasure from this, because she was the one to drink the last drop of blood. Jack convinced the police and others that..vanessa is just high on dope(or cocane or whatever) and the assistant bartender is high as well. The police left after cursing at the teenage generation for a while. Then they came back to the willow's tattoo piercing place and started asking hatrius some questions..since Hatrius was the one who receieved the call from "elder" who ordered the group to invade the nosferatu haven. Hatrius then proceeded to give them a detail explanation of what exactly happened.

Next Session- "Monday the 15th" 6 PM Eastern

k, well, this isn't something i want to do, but i'm going to be forced to drop out if the palying date isnt changed from a monday. wednesdays would be absolutely best for me, and i can almost always be there for a session.. but as it stands on mondays i'm always at my moms house and opnpw just doesn't work on this computer. unless you want to move it to IRC, but that defeats the purpose of being here.

anyways, i like the game and all, but i see no point in having you guys keep your hopes up that i will attend sessions whne there is, quite frankly, no chance.

sorry to put things that way, i like the game concepts, and i'd really like to try it out, but thats the only was its gonna work.

I have no problem with wednesday really, it totally depends on the other pcs.

Besides the normal sessions, i run little character development sessions whenever one or two characters are on and bored, some of you who aren't doing this can do this as well or just ignore this. This however doesn't affect main session. This sessions may last from 10 minutes to hours. And they don't have any specific dates or time. This is done by character's request..i don't call you to do this as well....k i am done.

It seems there are now four regular players in vtm. I will allow one more player to join in who can make it to monday 6 pm eastern regularly and have the desire to play vtm, or have the desire to learn it atleast.

i guess you could call this a half hearted attempt at trying to clear up what seems to be an understanding..

i didn't say that only wednesdays would be good for me.. any day is fine, just every other week, just that wednesdays would be best - i could be there every week. the thing is, mondays don't work for me, at all. period.

i suppose if you people decide that mondays are peachy and thats that, fine, i'm out and i'll leave honourably and peacefully, but not necessarily understanding or happy about it.

If thats the case, do what you will with Fiisk.

VTM was well in verge of ending anyway yesterday. I am still not sure if it will survive.

To Morrolan and Acid, I have kinda over reacted yesterday, and I won't kill the game just because one person decided to take his/her hatred to the limit..I was just pissed.

Arch, I will talk over to morrolan and acid, and if they can make it to tuesday and wednesday then obviously you can still play if you want. And if not, like i said, hopefully we will able to participate together in a different game someday.

The offer for new players still stands. Except now I want more then one players to join, because of events that forced out two players over last few days.

Chapter 4: Society of Leopold

Fate and the similar goals made Hatrius and Jack meet each other infront of the vatican church. After momentary hesitation they entered the church together and asked the priest for a occultic library location. The priest ofcourse realized that they were both vampires instantly. The priest resisted as much as he can, but due to Jack's vampiric intimidation powers he fell victim to the fear. Feeling defeated he leaded them down a dark wooden stairway to the basement of the church. Appareantly it is a occult library which also contained a coffin. The coffin kept the remains of ST. Mark who was the first to preach cristianity in Egypt. The library contained many books on inquistion, rituals and society of leopold. Jack failed to find the book he was looking for but he found a interesting book on inquisition. Hatrius found a book with strange leather cover and with face of a nosferatu on the cover. It spoke of a strange scepter.

The picture of the scepter was very similar to the one "Willow" have asked the players to steal from the Malkavian city of anarchy. The book says that the scepter is part of a holy cross that was used by the inquisition to control evil creatures such as ghosts, spirits, demons, vampires and witches. The book however does not detail how it was used.
Another excerpt was found under the picture which stated..

"Thence, as a gift to pareth, the holy mother gaveth to her son a cross. 'Bear well this relic my son', sayeth she, 'and use it not for evil but for good, though what thou hast to preveneth that muchness.' And so saying, the holy mother beggered her goodbys, and with parting word sayeth, 'To control thou of thine offspring which wouldst relinquish thou my son. Holdeth it to the heavens and incant in thy own name"

In the next page there was a picture, it was a picture of a Inquisitor priest holding the scepter and watching couple of vampires eating another vampire. They were not drinking his blood.

The next chapter's title was "The society of leopold: The Alliance"

Unfortunately all the letters were in hibrew afterward, which none of the players knows.

Before they can research further three priestial figures came down to the basement. The sword in one's hand the guns in the other's and the many crosses that are hanging down their neck gave their inquistive identity away. After momentary arguement they started to fight. Hatrius after succesfully hiding behind a dark spot shot down one. And Jack successfully killed the other. After this the inquistioor master with open sword ran after Hatrius who after putting few bullets into the inquistor ran behind jack. The inquisitor hurt by the bullet threw a flash grenade to stop them. A bright flash and thundering noise covered the church, however even though it had sun's brightness Hatrius resisted. Because of hightened sense of Jack his neurons overloaded and almost sent him to frenzy...but didn't. They succesfully ran out the front and stole the Inquisitor's jeep.

They talked in the car and booked a room in hotel named "Citadel of San Fransisco" to spend the day there.

Experience points were given in this session.

Yep we played thursday. Acid had some kinda test wednesday.

I'd love to fill one of those character slots, i have the time any day of the week unschedeuled events notwithstanding, i read most of the .pdf PHB, not all of it but i got the gist of it, and i could make my own character given time and a few pointers, my only problem is for some reason i can't get OP&PW to work properly! i'm having some of the strangest technical difficulties i've ever seen, oh well this probably isn't the place to talk about that, if somehow i can get OP&PW operational as i said above i'd love to play :)

Ok, turns out i was kinda stupid there, thanks for the backup IP darklook, now OP&PW works, now all i have to do is try and solve the other half myself, shouldn't be too hard. ok, i'll re-read that .pdf and then get back to you, since the game has already started you may want to give ideas for a background to make it easier for you to include.

The pdf is not up in a website (well, atleast i am not aware of it), but I am pretty sure somebody is still sharing it on kazaa.

And for the background, The setting and the prelude story is posted back in the first page. And once your character is done we will just have to talk a bit about how your character is going to enter the session. That's why if you have msn that would be great.

All the needed materials are there including a character creation tutorial. However the site used a older version of vtm, so few things are different...but they are very few. So you can just follow that character creation tutorial to create your character, just in case you can't get a hold of the pdf.

Sorry dudez, the electricity went out yesterday in the middle of the session. Probably they did it to save electricity for Christmas day. I guess we will have to continue the session someday else. I will post our next session date soon after talking with the players, since i do know few of you will be dissappearing for a while for christmas/new year vacation. I will just post the summary of whatever happened so far anyway just to keep record.

Session 5 (unfinished)

Chapter 5 (unfinished): Recompilation

The session began with couple of new faces. To capture the assassin of petrodon the inner circle did compile few other groups like the pcs as well. One of these group was under attack of a sabbat troupe and most of the group were slaughtered and diblerized. The leader of the group named Micheal was drained of blood and was forcebly entered into torpor. The sabbats left him burried underground to this status of paralyzed condition so that he can suffer forever and never die. Fortunately camarilla spies that were checking up on the progress of these groups found the location of his burial and Pollidori revived him by giving him his own vitae. The next new face was Darren who called himself Fiisk when he previously met the pcs to hide his true identity. Darren was called back by the inner circle for an objective unknown to the pcs. Pollidori decided to put Darren and Micheal together and told them to help out another almost destroyed group(the pcs). He gave them a ghoul who guided them to "Citadel of San Fransisco" where the pcs were resting.

After the introduction stage, The ghoul name Davis called few brujah guards to guard injured Hatrius while they go to "Cafe Life" as pollidori have directed.

After they reached Cafe Life, they realized the Cafe is not really a Cafe, it is more like a club. The ghoul explained that the Cafe used to have human owner, but after that changed, it went through some renovations. As they walked in the cafe/club their eyes were dazzled by the flashing stroble lights, girls..(etc etc..) they did notice a quote in the wall that caught their attention.

The quote read "As far as one can get from Beelzebub, in the remotest corner of this cavern, there is a place one can not find by sight"

Anyway, the ghoul lead them to the second floor where they met Pollidori with few others they haven't met before. There were sitting down on a black couch with a female completely drained of blood lying on the table infront. Pollidori introduced to them the newly elected prince, who was not happy about his princehood especially when a lunatic assassin of Rah is running around in San Fransisco.

After conversinga bit, pollidori went over to a wardrobe and brought out a golden cross which is suppossed to be a part of an ancient scepter. Michael and Darren didn't know much about this scepter, but Jack had a better idea. The all went closer to observe the scepter a little better. Suddenly there vampiric senses or were on alert and as they turned around they noticed a blur and sound of footsteps come in to the room with lightning speed and disappear the next moment. After moments of counfoundment and scream of the new prince, they realized that an assamite kukri was shuved into the heart of the prince. The prince..was disintegrating. Pollidori enraged by this situation pulled out couple of guns and went after the blur. (and this is where i got disconnencted)

i can be on friday night after 9:30 or so, since i work til 9.. saturday i'm going snowboarding, so i wont be back til later, and sunday i work til 3:30, so i'll be available after that.. however, there's a chance my girlfriend wil lbe back in the province.. sooo let me know aobut the times.

i work monday tuesday saturday sunday next week, but 3 of them are earlier in the day shifts anyway, so i'm available most of next week.. new years eve is out of the question tho.

I don't think next week there will be a game. I think both acid and morrolan are in vacation and we all are pretty much busy in new years eve. I guess our next game will be next year. I am pretty much free January 4-8. Let's go for Tuesday the 6th or wednesday the 7th. Either day is fine with me.

I will adjust the time and day if necessary after I talk to you guys online.
