In a future not so much unlike our own, global peace has been obtained. The year is 2039 as the decade comes to an ever closer end. The United States still remains a very dominant country and relations with Europe, the Middle East, and Asia all prove fruitful in a time of Information and Technology as all nations strive for excellence and improvement.

A new groundbreaking technology has been introduced called Nanotechnology, microscopic robots that act in mass that can do almost anything the user may need. Many cybernetic inventions have arisen as well, such as androids and robots with complete human emotion captured in a computer chip. But these breakthroughs are not without consequence, as many ethical and moral problems have occured because of this. At the turn of the decade, 2040, the world is yet again caught in turmoil. Scientists believing that what they create can only help mankind formed their own faction, the Free Thinkers of the World (FTW).

Greatly opposed to the FTW, dubbing them as maniacal madmen who play God, several smaller protest factions have gathered together to form Advocates of Humanity (AoH). It is their belief that any type of machine who thinks and acts like a human, but has no real soul can only be a monstrosity of humankind and has no place in the world. These people tend to be deeply religious.

Soon the whole world was forced to take a side in this undeniable problem. It was something that could not be ignored. Government relations worsened as nations took a stand on what they thought was best for their country. Even states took their own opinions on what they thought, creating inner disputes within the United States. Today you are left with a choice. Do you believe in creating life, and become a sympathizer for the Free Thinkers of the world? Or do you distrust anything without spirit, therefore becoming an Advocate of Humanity?
