New to P&P RPG world
I'm looking for some experienced players to show me the ropes. I'm new to Pen and Paper RPGs as I got sick with the inability of people to stay in character in online (non p&p) rpgs. I just found this program and would love to start playing any time. I have most of the D&D series as well as Shadowrun. New to P&P RPG world
Heya, welcome to OPnPW.
I may be wrong, but I beleive the only open games at the moment are a few tournaments.. Could be something fun to test your knowledge of the game.. I also have a game in the works, though I would preffer if you knew the system just to keep things running smoothly (I am including many many new rules which could make things confusing for you.)
I am also working on a campaign setting of my own.. but don't hold your breath on its release.. it is still just a little DnD world zygote.. I don't expect it to be finished until I am out of college (that is.. once I graduate HS)
At any rate, if you feel you know the rules well enough, why dont you throw a game of your own sometime? We could always use more DMs :)

New to P&P RPG world
I'd love to DM. Once I am sure that I'm not gonna cause problems. And to be honest I still don't really know what I'm doing. I'd love to watch a couple of games and get a better feel for it. I love roleplaying and this seems to be an awesome way to do it. Just reading the books isn't doin it for me though...

tad high level(lv10, 49k gp...) if you need help making a character and such, i would gladly do so... im one of the players so far waitin for it to fill
Then theres my game, we play kinda randomly whenever enough people to be able to survive are on(generaly, a healer, and a tank, and preferibly 1 more...)
We are at lv1 right now... contact me on aim or such for more details if your interested... but im not the best person to show you the ropes for rping, character building however, thats another matter all together :roll:

New to P&P RPG world
Hi,
I'm like you and new to this OPnPW and am also looking for a game. I found that if you go on at different times you might luck up and find someone who wants to start a game. I did. I didn't have a character ready so i couldn't really participate, but you get a sence of how the game goes. I've been told the same thing though. Go to the miss. section of these forums and look for games posted or post one yourself. If i was good enough at D&D i'd be DMing myself. Also go to this site and make your character. it gives the DM running the game a place to look at your character so he make sure all's ligit.
