I've disabled the guest function within the news area, I never really thought it'd be open to abuse as it was. Oh well, thats the brave new world huh?
I've got some stuff planned for OPnPW, But I'm hedged on if its worth it or not. We'll see, community input is appreciated.

I was going to do a more formal plan, but I'll just list them here.
A) OPnPW Lite
-A java client that will run on any OS, or through a broswer.
B) OPnPW Server 1.7
-Redone server code that will
---1) Run on OPnPW.com's server, for insane uptime and connectivity.
---2) Support a more robust protocol, probably being open source (the protocol, not the server, thus allowing for 3rd party cleints).
C) Integrated 3e Profiler character sheets on OPnPW.com
D) Integrated campaign manger on opnpw.com

Community Input: I like them all. Especially the bit about integrating 3eP Character Sheets (We could become the official 3eP DnD usey program!) and campaign manager. Especially the part about the campaign manager.

Wow, Tuxie, I never really noticed guests abusing it. :o But...I don't notice much...esspecially when I've got MCR on the brain. <3
Anywho, I totally love the lite idea, I have a friend who wants to find a good place to role-play, but she doesn't want to download anything to her computer. :cry: But, this will change all of that! Woot! I like the other ideas too. **Huggles Tuxie** You spoil us. :D

Concerning the 3ep Charactersheets. Would it also be a good idea to become affiliated with 3eProfiler? We could be the official DnD program of 3eP and 3eP could be the official character sheet of OPnPW.. In the least, we could provide a banner exchange.

Or I can just use the same software they do, and not link anyone. Seems easier then bouncing between two sites.
The profiler software is open-source, and I'll publish my changes.

Oh yeah, and do you know if its possible to make the minimized version of the program (when its in your bar at the bottom of the screen) flash when someone posts a message? B/c when you have one of those 10 minute silences or when you run a full screen program, you dont want to keep it open, but you do want to know when someone answers your question. :roll:
