first off... sorry about the title, did'nt know what it should ahve been

ok, on topic now.
PvPonline is doing this story line about one of the characters coming up with a campaign idea, and the idea is, makein RL characters, that play D&D, seem good idea, but thats not what im goign to talk about

one of the things he has is, if players are not paying attention, the dm rolls, and gets a random thing, example, *rolls* start barking like a dog or *rolls* you lose 1d6 from all your skills.
i like thta idea alot, sure it pisses of the players, but after awhile, they will always pay attention, and not goof off.

I've never had that much trouble with players and resulting to such measures seems immature to me. If your having problems with their attention then address it, or find another group.

Thats cause, Tux, your players are so afraid of you... erm... hehe.. It does piss me off when people dont pay attention, however, I fight this by being realistic... the troll comes charging at them, only one player is paying attention so he dodges.. the rest I say "Okay, this time you can dodge, but next time you dont pay attention you are club juice for the troll..." they dont like it, then THEY find another group to play with..
