I trust I am not blaspheming or ruining the whole concept of this program by suggesting this. But can you use OPnPW to connect to regular IRC chat?

Perhaps this would be an interesting feature?

I'm not sure that you can at the moment....Methinks the program was meant to completely obliterate the whole need for IRC.

OPnPW is a chat utility already, loaded with features that IRC can't even hope to compare to, even with the use of bots and scripts...All of the game-playing features are built right in!

And if you're wanting to multitask, there's an easy enough workaround. Since you can't be in more than one room at a time...You just open a second instance.

OpnpW has its own server. Tux/Brad coding a server would have no point if it was meant to be a cheap knockoff IRC client.

Because he has made a special server, which i would assume is incompatible with any known ircd out there, it's a fair bet that opnpw is not meant for and will not be meant for irc.

opnpw is not irc. Plain and simple.

As for it beign tooled to work on irc, itd take a LOT of work considering how relatively complex an ircd is. Chances are it wont even end up on the list of stuff to do with opnpw. Besides, believe it or not, the server brad made is more stable than a good 90% of irc servers out there if not more. :p

But when it started up i had the same idea too, but i got set right so :p
