You have either a very restrictive firewall, or a program that is using ports 4050/4051.

I don't have a firewall even tho I have DSL but I usely have AIM, Xfire and sometimes ICQ running. even after i exited those i still get the same thing.

possibly check what you have running?(doing ctrl,alt,dlt once)may help out but i don't know

it's also possible that you're on a router
your router may also have a firewall built in that you don't even know about
try unplugging all the equipment and connecting your computer straight to the modem and seeing if it works, if it does then you have narrowed the problem down to your router and you cvan check your manual about port triggers and such

if it still doesn't then double check you haven't downloaded firewalls by accident, soime kind of restricting software, or there isn't some kind of lock on your computer that you don't know about
if it's a family computer perhaps a parent is preventing it, because opnpw uses a protocol that requires a direct connection (correct me if i'm wrong tux) and i know some things like net nanny won't allow that

What server are you connecting to? From the main menu, choose your profile and right click [or press edit on the beta], and where it says "server" make sure you have something there, use the button to the right for default server ["drotain.dyndns.org"] or backup ["tuxserve.dyndns.org"].
