Ok, here is the deal, i am also part of another DnD site called Plothook. For all of you that play there as well you can a test to the fact that everyone there is very dedicated to games. Now in my, what 3 weeks if that, time here i have seen campaigns start up, get support, then die whithen a matter of a week or two. I have putting this out there to spread the word about this new site. Dedicated people who wish to play instead of saying that they are going to play and not do it at, are welcome.
People, like muddy that don't want to be let down and have their time wasted are more than welcome.
Warning: Plothook doesn't use the same gaming style as OPNPW, there are no "sessions" only contiual play.

I appriciate the sentiment, and I might check it out, but OPnPW is like my home on the internet. I have my core group of players whom I DM for when I can and that is good enough for me.
My reaction to Minotaur Wars was wrong.. It was an over reaction on my behalf, and I appologize. There might be some level of dedication needed, but the game hasn't even started yet.. If it had, things would be different.

How long has your game been inactive on plothook, Tallnac, without word? Hmm? Your "battle for cais" game has entire months of gap between a DM's word. That sounds like a real live, vibrant game, a real winner, doesn't it? Not at all like the games on PnP, looking at the forums. The forums are practically a ghost town of old memories and games which everyone wants to play but nobody really pursues them because they aren't dedicated people who will mindlessly subvert themselves.
Nevermind the fact that 75% of the people that said they were interested BROWSE THE FORUMS PRACTICALLY ONCE PER YEAR, or the fact that the original DM basically himself DID THE EXACT SAME THING he blames others for. Not that I am blaming Muddy for taking over, or for not being exciting/dedicated, but did he try another medium of communication? Paddon and Hihepux can be reliably contacted by AIM and MSN. Admittedly, ye probably wouldn't have gotten very far with just two people, but still.
I've also noted that the only games which have started up and then died lately are ones with your hand in their creation. Call me crazy, but that doesn't sound like a very unbias way of describing the life of PnP. And who says they're dead? If you're going by the definition that nobody has posted in over a week, then ... I've also looked through some of the games on plothook.net, and more than a couple I've looked at look pretty dead to me O_o
The opnp community isn't some uncaring ball of users. We're open to new ideas and thoughts, sure. We're open to something that sounds fun. I like fun. We (or mainly just I, I don't know) also don't like overbiased comments based against our community, followed up with an offer to be assimilated by another (possibly even more lifeless) society.
Don't get me wrong, it's not that I don't like PBMB games despite their slowness. If you want dedicated games though, www.Roleplayinggames.net has my vote. At the very least, it has a better layout, one which doesn't involve mashing 40 games into paragraph form.

(P.S: A kickass DM can at most do a battle a day. Most DMs get around a round of a battle a day. Good battles could take up to two weeks back in the day.)

The thing you have to keep in mind about the user base on this website is that alot of the members also have alot more going on and real life gets in the way. I currently can't fit any game time into my schedual at the moment because I'm busy with school, music and other projects.
Also, I am still alive :P I check the forums every day but haven't been posting since I can't play. I sitll love you all though :D
