That Level ??? Campaign
So yeah, all my previous attempts at starting campaigns have fallen through, partly due to me, partly due to the players, partly due to my being in College, but mostly due to Murphy's Law. Damn you, Murphy.
So, the summer is coming up and school is ending, so I was thinking about running a campaign of my own. I had quite a few ideas on different campaigns to play, and couldn't decide which one to do. So, I decided, just to run them all. Yes, I'm running one huge f'ing campaign that'll hopefully be run anywhere from once to three times a week, spanning from level 1 to Epic.
If I feel up to it (i.e., I like your character idea enough or I have the time or both), you can have personal intros. Things that'd encourage that would be suggestions on what they'd be, if they'd rope you into another of the other players, into the campaign, etc.
The setting is 3.5 D&D Homebrew, standard rules and core books allowed, plus anything I have. Just ask and if I have the book, it's allowed. Except Psionics. [b]No Psionics.[/b] Stat generation is 6-set-Organic, get in touch with me about when we can get on to roll it.
As for the other details of the setting, well, I'll determine them when they come up. Gods, nobility, religion, power-groups, races, your characters don't really know about them unless you give me a good reason why you'd know.
So to sum up:
Looking for four lvl 1 characters (or four and a bard)
Stats are 6-set-organic
First setting's in a trade-city by a mountain pass, you'll have the opportunity to be hired as a caravan guard, brigand, or just a traveler into the mountain pass, it's up to you. By the middle of the first session (if you guys don't take forever doing stuff), you'll all be in a group (or else).
[b]NO PSIONICS[/b]
Allowed races are any with LA +1 or lower (and I have the stats on them), though the LA +1 races would start as a lvl 0 in a class.
I have books from Greyhawk, Core, Spelljammer (no ships, though), Eberron, and a few others. The Complete series, Savage Species, BoED, BoVD, BoEF, Manual of the Planes, Deities and Demigods, etc. Again, just ask.
Anything else, just ask.
One last thing: Instead of the 6 normal stats, I'm using 7. I'm using the APP characteristic, and some of the stats are based off of that instead of CHA. Fundamentally, CHA is your force of will, while APP is your physical appearance. Any questions, just ask.
I'll be rather busy until the 14th or so, so this is a heads-up for you to get ready, get those character ideas on paper, and so on. Send me the link to your character sheets along with any comments you have, and I'll notify the 4 or 5 "winners" on the 14th or 15th.
Preference will be given to characters whose sheets are hosted on http://www.sylnae.net/3eprofiler/ I'm just used to those sheets.
Edit: This campaign'll most likely be run on OpenRPG, unless most of the players would prefer OPnPW.

I am rolling up a char for this on Sylnae's right now, but I wanted to be clear on whether you wanted us to do the stat rolling as you have set up on our own, or do it with you?

Incorrect. I DM for psions frequently. I never allowed 3e Psionics because the system was broken. 3.5e is perfectly balanced, though. Aside from the usage of a few psionic feats which can easily be abused, but something as insignificant as feats can easily be modified by the DM so they don't break their game.

Murphy Strikes Again
Well apparantly this attempt at a campaign will too fall through. Between the demands at work and just how much effort would be required to get this campaign off the paper (not to mention just how little I managed to get done during finals week), I've decided to hold off on it, until after the summer. It will happen though, so don't delete those characters you've made for it (if any).
On a side note, I will be running one-shot games every now and then, help me get a feel for GMing at various levels and so on. I'll be online Sundays at 1 pm est, and some other times, depends on when I feel up to it.
It would be very helpful if you came with a character ready, I'll be running level 1, 5-6, 10, 15-16, and level 18 games, depending on what I find and player interest. The first game (this sunday the 21st) will be either 1st or 10th, so if you want to play have one of those characters ready.
Creation rules are the same as above, but instead of rolling your stats, let's just do a 38-point buy (I never thought 32 was enough, anyway). To discourage min-maxing, the max scores before racial adjustment is 16.
