Shadowrun 4th Edition

Yes. Camp is over as of the end of this week. After that, I can become active again.

my char is a human gunslinger and can be the face, if needed.

i believe alex' is a troll brawler that tends to use improvised weapons.

I will need help making a character, as I'm not used to shadowrun. Maybe next weekend or sometime next week. Anyway, I'm going to get back to camp. Have fun!

A rigger (hacker) or decker (driver) would be good, and the group would probably do well to have a magician or adept of some kind.

hmm... haven't seen Shadowrun in quite some time.

Some specifics on the day/time? (I'm kinda full on games already, some days are much better than others), but I always have Decker Rose I can bring back in. Basically a decker/rigger. Not incredibly personalified, but heh. Would fill the gap in the group (other than adept/mage)

And, as an aside, I've always wanted to play in one of your campaigns Saber. You are, how do you say, a legend around here ;)

I have never played Shadow Run, but I have looked through some of the rules and read a few of the books. Methinks I like it!

I heard something about a mage being needed? Prehaps I could cover that role once I become slightly more familiar with the system.

In other news. Just 'cause I felt the initiative, I'm making my SR4th character. Sticking with 'base' 400 point buy for now (I note they changed it from the old priority system).

Just in case I end up playing, that is...

A hacker mainly, can drive (though only got a rank of driving ground based. So don't count on being a main driver...).

Does the group already have a fixer contact? I was just adding in my contacts and was wondering. So far I just have an electronics dealer and a blogger as my conts.

Oh, and the charrie is almost done. I'll start throwing 'er up in HTML later on tonight and will have it online by tomorrow easily. And if I can't play, I can wait for another game :P, so don't worry yourself too much Saber.

Well... I should be able to drive much better connected through the matrix actually... heh. So I might be able to remote drive us around. I went ahead and went gung-ho for 50 points on money, so my charrie will have half mil nuyen to play with... so I'm not exactly getting bottom of the line kit.

Although admittingly I'm a bit worried. My character turned out to be mildly addicted to alcohol, hotsims, and BTLs :P

i've become to thoroughly confused reading all yous guys' posts, and yet similarly quite intrigued that i did some research on shadowrun. I suppose i see the general gist/scenario of it, but one thing pissed me off. On the FAQs page of shadowrunrpg.com was:

Like Arch said yeah. Basically this world based in the near(ish) future, with heavily (and I mean -heavily-) advanced tech. Matrix (the web) is everywhere, and wireless.

Actually Arch, I got Combat Paralyzed, but I was thinking about changing it to Scorched.

Then I think about it. And not only does it cost 1.5 essence (unless I alpha it to a 'mere' 1.2), but it costs 240k. Or 480k if I alpha it.

I'll just wait on that one :P

Arch is wrong, the Rule of Sixes does not apply; it only applies when using Edge, as per the standard ruleset. Makes Edge more useful/important.

*cough* It seems I have made a bit of a screw-up, though not insurmountable.

In the transition from 3rd edition to 4th edition of Shadowrun, I essentially had to re-learn how everything went. And made a minor miscalculation. Of... well... doubling my starting funds for 50 points to 500,000 nuyen, instead of the book value of 250,000 nuyen.

Issue has been corrected, and I'm now almost completely outta cash. So will start throwing my character up on HTML for the world to see.

... though I need to mention how painful it was to drop the synapsis booster...

Also, play times are going to be within the following timeframe:

Any time Tuesday or Friday
After Midnight CST any other night until 3-4am

The only exception being roughly 5-9pm Tuesday. I'm in a game that runs at that time.

Well... for my two cents:

Tuesday would be best (for me at least). I can do any day, but I have to get up for work at approximately 5am CST, so... :P, will make RP'ing until 4 interesting at best methinks. I [i]could[/i] feasibly do it (hell, I still don't sleep...) but it would be interesting.

I'm DM'ing a game on Friday in the latenight slot (10pm-1am), but whatever time is come up with will work. I'll [i]make[/i] it work. I've been looking for a good shadowrun game

I refuse to believe that the year 2070 does not have hair dye. The hair color can be changed in about 3.29485048650398 seconds (not much of an exaggeration actually), so be prepared for some changes as design/whim see fit physical wise.

i'm going for the "mysteriously sexy" look for my char. dark eyeshadow and eyelinerwill be the norm too.
