no really, the game is an upcoming Mrpg, run by none other than our wonderful leader, Brad! lol, propoganda, maybe i can get op again ;)

but truly, brad is going to run an mrpg in the future, with a limited number of openings, which will run on a fairly odd schedule. he set me to recruiting, and now i must have you all post your gaming style on the forums.

warning to all who post. you MAY be required to roll comfy checks, as we really don't tend to get that much use of the random generator.... and we don't want it to get rusty. also, if swearing or crudeness get on your nerves.... don't apply. i'm not changing for anyone but brad, and he's never required it before...

Ah, ok. In the case of Brad, the lovable penguin being the DM, I would gladly enjoy playing. As for style, hmm, I shall edit this post after talking to the only person who's games I actually seem to play in. The style does tend to change character to character.

Best two examples:

Galmen the gnome was a fast talking bard. Always trying to resolve conflict without combat, yet never actually succeeding (because of the DM. He had +23 to diplomacy, come on Saber, you could have let him talk his way out of [i]something[/i].). He couldn't quite hold his own in combat, yet notably, he did kill the first creature, which was a fallen wyvren, and was critical in one of the last fights against a hydra. He filled the niche needed by the other players, as the rest were very, very good at combat.

As for the other example--I don't actually remember his name. He was an archer in one of Saber's FFRPS games. He was a struggling mercenary trying to get enough funds and influence to scrape together a army to retake his homeland. He had a sprawling back-story which actually changed the game world and was integrated into the storyline. Sadly the game died. Personally, I think it would be awesome if Saber were to restart the game from where the Airship started to fall.

by style. i mean do you tend to roleplay more than rollplay, and most importantly, since i'm not havin ya'll pissin off my dm, do you argue when a roll doesn't go your way that the dm rolled.

(seriously, it takes a LOT of effort to get tux to do an mrpg, and i didn't even have to ask for this one.... so i don't want to get it fucked up)

roleplaying is much better than rollplaying, that's why Karlth and I came up with the DragonSphere Solace compendium, which is by the way up for review now, i'll post about that in the other topic...no clone-dark hijacking here :-P just kidding clone..

My motto: Rule #1 Never argue with the DM cause you'll never win. well I never do in anycase so, yeah. I have never played mrpg, or a nond20 game before for that fact (although am playing in Karlth and Soloace's upcoming DS campaign as well), but have heard enough about it from you to know I want to try. So I still throw my name into the mix and would like to join.

Holy crap, I want to play! I remember playing Nikolai, Clay's apprentice in the life of crime... Was possibly the funnest game I've ever played in.

My roleplaying habbits have matured a lot since then.. I don't tend to argue with the GM if I get shot in the leg by a crazy bitch whom happens to be Clay's love interest... or knocked out by some greasy douche bag with a wrench... .... ....BAM!!
