I'm looking for a party of 4-6 characters, set in the Eberron Campaign Setting. The game will most likely be played late nights (starting midnight CST) on a night that works best for everyone (Tuesday nights do not work).

I'm looking for 4-6 3rd level characters. Please follow the below rules for character creation. If you are interested in playing, please post what race and class you'd like to play.

[b]Note[/b] - I want all characters to be filled out using my own personal character sheet. You can find this sheet [url=http://www.opnpw.com/saber/DnDCharsheet.rtf]here[/url] (RichText file format).

[b]Ability Scores[/b] - Ability scores are generated using the point-buy method, with 32 points to start with. Use the following chart to determine the cost for a particular ability score:

13 - - - 5
12 - - - 4
11 - - - 3
10 - - - 2

I recommend using the following array - 16, 15, 14, 12, 10, 10

In addition to your starting stats, you gain a +1 to one of your stats at 2nd level, just like the bonus a character would recieve at 4th level. Make sure to factor that into your character creation.

[b]Race[/b] - The available races are those in the 3.5e Player's Handbook as well as some found in the Eberron Campaign Setting. The list of available races can be found below:

Dwarf (Hill)
Elf (High)
Gnome (Rock)
Half-Elf
Half-Orc
Halfling (Lightfoot)
Human
Shifter*
Warforged*

*Changelings, Shifters, and Warforged are found in the Eberron Campaign Setting. You must have [access to] this book to play a character from one of these races.

One thing I'd really like to see would be at least one dragonmarked character, if not two.

[b]Classes[/b] - You can play any class from the PHB, as well as from a number of different sources. The list of available classes are as follows:

Archivist*
Artificer*
Barbarian
Bard
Beguiler*
Cleric
Dragon Shaman*
Druid
Duskblade*
Fighter
Knight*
Paladin
Ranger
Rogue
Scout*
Sorcerer*
Wizard*

*Beguilers, Dragon Shamans, Duskblades, and Knights are found in the Player's Handbook II. You must have [access to] this book to play a character from one of these classes.
Artificers are found in the Eberron Campaign Setting. You must have [access to] this book to play a character from this class.
Archivists are found in the Heroes of Horror. You must have [access to] this book to play a character from this class.
Scouts are found in the Complete Adventurer. You must have [access to] this book to play a character from this class.
Sorcerers do not gain a familiar at 1st level. Instead, a Sorcerer can apply metamagic feats that they know to their spells without increasing the casting time. Also, Sorcerer's gain one metamagic feat as a bonus feat at 1st level.
Wizards must specialize in a school of magic. Also, Wizards do not gain a familiar at 1st level. Instead, they get special abilities based upon their specialized school, usable once per day per Intelligence bonus (if curious, ask me about the ability for more details).

[b]Wealth[/b] - To determine starting wealth, assume you rolled a 3 on each d4 your class is supposed to roll for 1st level, then multiply by 10. For example, a Fighter normally gets 6d4 x 10gp to start. A Fighter would start with 1,800gp (6 x 3 x 10 x 10gp).

A character cannot start with any item worth more than half their starting wealth.

[b]Misc[/b] - Characters will start with 6 Action Points (AP). AP can be used with certain feats (found in the Eberron Campaign Setting), certain Artificer abilities, and most importantly, to modify any d20 roll. When you use an AP to modify a d20 roll, you roll 1d6 and add the result to your roll. Each level, you gain a fresh supply of AP, so its wise to use your AP freely.

Finally, anything from the following books are fair game (you must get prior approval from me before using anything in any book other than the PHB):

Player's Handbook
Player's Handbook II
Spell Compendium
Eberron Campaign Setting
Complete Warrior
Complete Divine
Complete Arcane
Complete Adventurer

Interested, though one question before I start thinking about characters. The warforged, changeling and shifter races were all reprinted in Monster Manual 3, though I do not have the Eberron Campgaign Setting book, should I just choose a basic PHB race then, or can I still play one of those three?

Yea, it has racial feats for shifter and warforged. It also has the 'living construct' rules for warforged.

So the party already has a Wizard, Scout, and Cleric... So i think I'll look at fighter, maybe a warforged fighter. Warforged are so cool ^_^

Aside (To Solace): HOLY FUCK! The Mario Brothers' Variety Show...!

Regression: I will play around with the Gnomish Artificer idea then. No promises that I will stick with said build though... depends on what crazy ass inventions I can come up with and what I will plan for the future. I don't remember what the dragon mark of "Creation" does (I beleive it requires Human though) but if it sparks my interest I can switch races. Now that I think about it, Human might make a better Artificer anyways.. Thursday at 1 AM EST would work out perfectly fine for me, but any other night after 10:30-11:00 AM would work out just as well.

Questions for the Saber concerning pregame crafting: If one could take 10 to craft, may one craft pregame? Also, how are you going to be handling experience for those of us who don't have the crafting pool thing to pull experience from? I know of DMs that as long as you don't go down a level give you experience for actually making something equal to that of the items cost in experience. Does said situation sound good?

Let me know. My character is being started. I am some sort of arcane caster. Right now I am picking out cool spells and the like.

Oh, and could you list the abilities for specializing in a school? Thanks man.

Thursday nights are awesome for me, it's a good deterrent to drinking too. at rutgers we have a "thirsty thursday" policy. Get drunk on thursday nights, but i'm not too big on drinking weekly, i feel like i'm losing all the thermodynamics i spent hours studying...
so yeah. Monday nights no can do, class early in the morning, wednesday nights...I can do, but not terribly late. Thursday nights, i have class on friday at like..2PM.

i'm afraid i don't think I'll be able to make it...I'm president of a fraternity, taking a large course load, and participating in way too many extracurricular activities...I'm sorry man :-/

3 f'ng games too, but i wish the other one stuck, i would definitely be in it

Sorry Solace, but if you're out (since I didn't see this thread until, well, just now) I'll see if I can weasel in. I'll keep the human cleric build, and am working on a CS right now. Should be done tonight.

If not. Meh, I'll make the charrie anyway, just not play 'em.

I wasn't planning on having to get a another job, but since I am loosing hours daycaring due to her promotion at work I have no choice in the matter. Gotta pay the rent. heh

I would totally love to play, but so many games already, and i really can't tie down my weeknights, school events are really erratic, and school comes first...sorry fellas. :-/ Thanks for the offer, though...I'll save my sheet for another time.
