Alright, anybody who knows me on this forum probably knows I like Pink Floyd. Anybody who's close to me on this forum knows I'm absolutely fanatical about Pink Floyd. and my best friends in real life (and on this forum) know that I would give my left kidney to see them.
Well
I'm seeing Roger Waters tonight, and I would like you ALL to know just how much effort i'm making to not type in all capitals.
I'll let you know on a degree of how amazingly super awesome my night is.
Later friends

I'm debating what to do or say to you that expresses my complete and utter hideous hate that you get to...

*sigh*

Lemme know how it went. Please... spare no details. I can cope with the pain.

Pink Floyd

hey arch that was post number 1234! cool!
Pink Floyd was fucking phenomenal
words cannot describe how amazing it was, and for anyone who cares enough it's also Roger Waters' birthday today. we sang him happy birthday, so he stayed an extra hour and played a couple more songs in super extended versions. it was
so
good
I love pink floyd. I love my brother. I love my life right now.

So, this is how it went down.
Capacity of PNC Bank arts center is like 17,000, but there were nearly 40,000 people there, quite likely even more standing outside. So much beer, so many drugs. The average age was around 30, but for the most part it was kids my age and adults 50+. Roger Waters came out and he played a lot of their newer stuff, Division bell, Final Cut, etc. They played fletcher memorial home which was awesome (if any of you know me well enough, my e-mail address is fletchermemorial for a reason :-D) And then they took a 15 minute break and came back and played a very long version of dark side of the moon from stop to finish no pauses. Amazing. At one point during the song they had the music continue on without lyrics and a giant balloon pig was manned by 14 people and walked through the crowd until they reached the lawn (which is the back of the bleachers) and released the pig from the strings, and it went floooaaaating away and they shone a spotlight until it was gone. Then they kept playing, then they left and came back for an encore where they played Is there anybody out there up to Bring the boys back home
Oh they also played wish you were here (that's five albums so far if you're counting) And also two unreleased songs that were AMAZING.
at the end of it all he said "Hey, did anyone see where that pig went?" and ran off stage.

It was amazing
69 years old, and still played for 3 hours.
Roger Waters, you made my night.
