Playerizing in new client

I'm unable to change spectators into players.
I have the room created, then someone joins, and I click 'DM -> Players...', and then click 'Change Status' and nothing seems to happen. People can change their nicks just fine, but that's the lot of it.
Am I missing something, or is something borken? ;)
