2004 DnD Tournament
Here's an idea just for fun, I think this was proposed before but not sure if it was ever played out. I added few little bits to make it little more complex.
1.The concept
2.Rules
3.Arenas (Terrains)
4.Players
5.Win\Loss Chart
\The Concept\
The concept is fairly simple, each interested player will create an unique lvl 3 character and enter him/her into a competion to prove who' character is the best. Each match will be between two players and winner will continue onto the next level. Wheter the defeated player gets eliminated instantly or stays alive for another chance will be determined by the number of players(if any) interested in this.
In this tournament just making a barbarian orc, you won't be the best, there are other elements you must take note of.
First factor is- Arenas/Places (lets just call it the terrain) the fight takes place in, which will affect the matches greatly. Some terrains will give certain races and classes an advantage but certainly will not determine the final outcome.
Second factor is- non fighting skills/feats - Some terrains were created in a way where you just don't automatically engage into a melee fight, but where you may use your other non combat skills and feats to give you a definite advantage. Racial features and class features also helps in certain moments. For example, druid's trackless, ranger's track, monk's evasion, rogue's sneak attack and most of the skills such as climb, jump, hide , trap making, trap disarming, dimplomacy etc etc.
Third factor is- Items and equipments- Each players will be given 1000gp after registration which they may use to buy whatever they want (from PHB)(Potions listed in DM's Guide is also allowed to be purchased). Remember this though, no player may replenish, buy or sell anything once they turn in their completed character sheet, untill the final championship match between two finalists.
\The Rules and Informations\
1. Races Allowd- All PHB races and Major Subraces from MM
2. Classes Allowed- All PHB classes
3. Starting Gp- 1000
4. Number of Players allowd- The more the better
5. Time Per Match- I am assuming it will range from 15 minutes to 30 minutes.
6. Starting Date- Not in a hurry, we have the whole year, I am thinking when atleast 6 players signs up for it through out the year we will start.
7. Equipments and items- Anything from PHB, and all potions from DM's Guide.
8. Choosing a Terrain- If both player can't agree on a terrain that both likes, I will roll (1d(total number of Terrains) and randomly choose the terrain.
9. In most terrains the players starts off standing in a straight path about 150 feet apart (unless specified). This was done so that Melee fighters do not automatically gain advantage.
10. Character Creation-28 points buying system, use the scale in dm's guide.
11. This competion is being held by King Horus of "RaiiJin" Kingdom.
12. Not a rule but a suggestion, do not discuss your character, even races with other players because it may give them a definite advantage.
13. 3.0e only.
\Terrains\
1. The Hill terrain- Both of the players starts off in the opposite side of the hill. The king's guardmen will prevent you from going around and trying to attack each other. The only way is to climb up the 75 feet high hill. To climb the hill you will have to roll 3 oppossed climb roll, whoever wins climbs on the top of the hill first and gains number of full actions equal to the number of climb roll he won, while the loser still climbs, also he gains one free action of double move which he may use to get to the other side (of course your speed must allow your double move to be atleast 40' to do that) . There are many 3 feet boulders (about 30 lbs each) (if used as cover it grants +2 cover bonus to ach and +1 cover bonus to reflex save)on the top of the mountain. The winner may use his full actions to hide, move to the other side and attack the climber with a bonus of +2 on the attack roll, wait for the climber to get up and fight or try to make him fall down etc etc. When once person is at top, the other climber no longer have to make any climb rolls, he automatically advances upward at end of each round, however any damage will make him roll a climb check (dc 15) or fall down to the bottom once again, unless you catch yourself when falling (dc 25). In that case you will drop down only 1 lvl, as in 25 feet. For every 25 feet you fall, you take 1d6 points of damage (yes I modified it) The top flattened area of the hill is square shaped and it is about 40 feet from one edge to another. The climbing one may also make ranged attack or melee if close enough with a penalty (-4 for attack roll, if you use a crossbow with one hand, the -4 for using hand doesn't stack with the penalty, you only use one -4). Loading a crossbow will take a full action while climbing. You can't use a bow while climbing. (Favored by Monk, Ranger)
2. The Gamble Terrain - Both players starts off into two different room 6 feet by 6 feet room filled with numbers of sealed metal drums equal to the number of your total items - 1 , with absolutely nothing on but general clothings. The players will get to choose three drums which will be ensured by the guardsmen ( i may modify this number later). One of the drums will be a trap and others will be filled with your items. After you finish equipping whatever you got, you will go through a door in front and see the other player on the opposite side in a 320' by 320' room. The floor is made out of 64 squares each about 5' by 5'. Ten traps will be randomly placed by me in 10 of the squares before the match starts. In case this may cause players to suspect favoritism, I will give the complete map with the traps made to a person trusted by both side before the match. (Favored by Rogue and Monk)
3. The Arena: This is a collisium owned by King horus for gladiator like games like this one. The players starts off 150' apart. Surrounded by thousends of citizens sitting in a stadium like place. The floor of the arena is made out of sand and is quite warm under the sun. So what's so unique about this terrain? A ranger will be on the sky on a flying griffon shooting every 3 round randomly at one opponent (will be determined by 1d2) unless ofcourse a player takes him down first. (Favored by barbarian, fighter, ranger)
4. The village: The match will take place in a village. Both of the players will be supplied with a horse and saddle, whether to mount the horse is upto the players. Villagers loves this kinda games and so they will be always following you no matter where you go. You may decide to hide in a washroom, or behind the blacksmith's anvil but you can bet that atleast one villager is always keeping an eye on you. You may not get out of the village however. Total description of the village will be provided at the start of the match. And the complex part of this terrain is that every 3 round (this number maybe changed by me later) villagers will pick on a player who is either - hiding or losing or running away or have low charisma. By picking on i mean throwing rocks, giving away your hiding location, stopping you from running away etc etc. The annoying thing about this is that the villagers will continue to do so untill you prevent them by doing something. (Ex, killing one villager (effect will be determined by 1d3, where 1 is more enraged, 2 is will leave you alone for 5 rounds, 3 is will be afraid and run away and won't bother you at all) or diplomacy, bluffing about reward etc etc)
(favored by bard, illusionists, paladin)
5. Forest Terrain - Both player will start in a clear view of each other standing about 150' apart. After the match starts it's upto the players whether to run, hide, sneak attack or engage in straight out brawl. The forest terrain is placed in a 300' square shaped area, half of the land is plain, and half of the land is forested. the king's guardsmen will block you if you wish to cross the borders.(Favored by druid, archer, rogue)
6. The Tunnel- This one is pretty straightforward too. Both players will enter a tunnel in a opposite side to face two random monsters (I will put appropiate monsters for single 3rd lvl pc, but most likely not the same). The monsters assigned for each player will never attack the other player. This way the player can choose to ignore the bashing of the monster, and attack the other player who is engaged in fighting with a penalty, or a player can kill one monster and aid other monster to finish off the other pc. The tunnes is 20 feet wide. (Favored by barbarians and Fighters)
7. Boats- The players are placed in two small ships. The ships are 25 feet apart. Melee combat is only possible if one boards other by the throwing hooked ropes on each other's boat. While trying to balance on ropes, attacks against you are made as if you were off balance, they gain +2 attack bonus and you lose your dex bonus to AC, if any. If you have 5 or more ranks in balance, then you can retain your dex bonus to ac. If you take damage, you must make balance check twice and succeed twice instead of one. The ropes aren't indestructable. Also if you fall off for any reason to the sea, you don't take falling damage, but you must make swim check(dc 15) or standard drowning rule applies. After a succesful swim check, the only way you can get up is by using the anchor rope (dc 16), or you can choose to attack (partial actions and ranged attacks only, the ones that can do with one hand that is) while trying to swim, the swimming dc will be increased by 3 (so dc 18 ). All attacks made by you while swimming, climbing or balancing will suffer a -4 attack roll penalty. While all attacks made against you will get +2 on the attack roll. (Preferred by Ranger). The three feet high wooden barriers of each boat also gives partial covers (10% miss chance)You can also move the ships closer, no skills are required for that. Each 20 feet of moving the ship is a full round action. After you are within 5 feet, you can just take a normal step to the other boat (no jumping is required).
8.Cave Terrain-Both players enters the cave terrain using opposite entrances. As soon as you enter the cave the distance between each player will be about 150 feet. The width of the cave is also about 150 feet. For the first five rounds after initiative there will be antimagic field present. Also the cave is filled with moderate darkness and therefore characters without, darkvision, blindsight, lowlight vision will not be able to strike their opponents without 10% miss chance. This is how that works, if the attacker hits, the attacker makes a miss chance percentile roll to avoid being struck, If he scores 10 or below ten, the attacker misses. Also after the intiative is rolled, until both of you are aware of each other the surprise rounds and flat footed ness is in full effect.
In this terrain a lighted up torch/lamp/lantern does more bad then good, because if you light them up, you will no longer have concealment while if the opponent is out of the light range will still have concealment. The cave is pretty boring other then that as there are no other place to hide.

Gwahahahaha, I have the perfect character for this.... count me in.

2004 DnD Tournament
Was there ever a question?
I'm in.
If there are only a limited number of entrants, could multiple characters per player be allowed?
Lastly, you may wish to have a judge or two (rules monger, if you will) to adjucate objectively each situation on a case to case basis. I'm game for that if there are a lot of players.

Well you know I'd join...and still might, but truth be told I'm afraid. I'm just envisioning the Nuke Druid or whatever and seeing this as to who can have the best low level powergamed person :O
I'll still probably play, and die...but I'll give it hell before I do!

I don't think multiple players would work. I mean what if it turns out that both of your character makes it to championship? Let's just focus on one character per player right now. That's why I was thinking if there are enough players, maybe the defeated characters won't have to die and still have a chance to come back like any other competition.
I agree with the judge part. For example in the gamble terrain I will definitely need a judge who I can give the maps and stuff to cancel any claim of favoritism, and they will definitely be awesome help when arbitrating a rule. And so yeah judges would be cool, you are on.
Powergaming..well they will need to use some strategy as well, because eventually near the end they will run out of potions...maybe even ammos if they don't use their pcs wisely at the beginning, and that's when the real fun will begin. But yeah I am definitely looking forward to see some interesting lvl 3 characters. Oh yeah remember melubb you gotto roll the attributes in front of me, then you can use that to adjust your premade character if you wish.
Also the winners gets healed thanks to king's personal cleric, after each battle. The one that loses either gets healed up..or dies depends on the number of players.

Ooo... Sounds like fun. I'll try 'er out too.

Heh, it's just a build... Though high statistics will help. Also, those of you worried about builds that can't lose, set your minds to rest as most of these must be high levels, such as the nuke druid. Hmm... and one question. Will our characters be healed after each battle?

Im definately in.. I do have a question though, there are a few 3.5e feats that could be used in 3e, such as Sneaky (+2 to hide and move silently) or Acrobatic (+2 to jump and tumble) are these accepted? (Take this into serious concideration and dont just say no cause they are 3.5e.. If I were to ask if I could use 3.5e TWF, thats different, since Ambidex is gone in 3.5e and they make up with it in the TWF feat...) Anywho, I have a few character concepts I have floating around already... So count me in..

Hey, you have no idea what im doing... The build I'm looking at can scrap by with 1,000 GP, just not when he needs 300 gp worth of potions for healing after every battle. Though maybe it can.... I'll have to double check on that one.
Also the winners gets healed thanks to king's personal cleric, after each battle. The one that loses either gets healed up..or dies depends on the number of players.
So yes Melubb. However none of your items such as healing potions won't be refueled in any way, and you won't be able to purchase anything in the middle of the competition.
Muddy, Nah only 1000 gp, because i think the element of low gp itself should make the combat more interesting. And no 3.5 feats as well..the reason unfortunately is because they are 3.5e. We will strictly follow 3.0e dmg and 3.0e phb. If you really want your character to be unique you can always pick a subrace from the monster manual (that does not include monster manual 2). Perhaps next year we will do the same competition with strictly 3.5e rulebooks. So no sorry, nothing from 3.5e. Besides i am sure you can someway get the similar effect by modifying your char (like decreasing your size and stuff..)

We will need atleast one more player before we can start, two if morrolan doesn't get in. And as I have said before more the merrier, so invite any of your friends who are interested in this..and lets see if we can make it into some massive dnd combat fest thingy..

I'm lookin' to joinin' this... but first I have to ask:
What's your take on magic items?
Actually, I have a very old character who might fit into this... he isn't level 3, he's level 1, and he doesn't have 1000 GP of equip, but... ooh, this might work.
"Don't let history... happen to you."
2004 DnD Tournament
Yeah sure, I'll be in...and I'm with acid, whats your take on masterwork/magic items etc? Anyways, count me in even though I am not the most confident of the lot (we should have spectators that judge the match too, like audience at an arena fight...just a thought, they could give flair/style points.)

2004 DnD Tournament
The games will not be restricted. Anyone wants to see them can see them..infact they are invited, unless ofcourse the players that are involved wants someone specific out for strategic reason.
But as far as judging goes..winners will be decided by death (or unconsciousness if more people signs up). But judges might be necessary because as Saber said rules monger. Acid also wanted to help so he will be in some matches too as a judge (when he is not fighting).
Since we now have 6 player I would like to start off pretty soon. However I would like to give any others few more days to join in. So meanwhile, within this few days you guys contact me by msn, email..( i am not on aol usually), opnpw and roll the attributes, make characters and send me the cs. I usually log in after 6 pm eastern. I will post up the schedual for first fight after talking with the opponents within few days then.
Edit: All the masterwork items are allowed from phb. No magical items though. Specific items such as elven chain or mithril chain is allowed but most you can't afford.
Current Characters D
2004 DnD Tournament
You couldn't afford aby magical items, since the lowest bonus or the equivalent (+1) is 1000 gp and you then have to add the cost of the item ontop of that... but I digress
I have several ideas for character concepts, however I have final exams tomorrow and the next day, so dont expect me to be ready until ATLEAST Saturday, if not later...
Also, to avoid obvious flaws in characters (player rolla all stats 12 and under, whereas another player rolls all stats 14+) I suggest doing some sort of point buy system (maybe assign the ability scores yourself, they cant be <3 or >18, and their combined mods cannot excede +15 or some other number) doing so would keep the element of strategy behind a character, I mean, the perfect character concept could lose simply because of how bad a certain stat is...

I propose the 32 point buy system, its page 22 in the DMG for all of those who don't know where it is. That way we can have complete consistency, oh and hey about the whole audience participation...we could have a Roman gladitorial 'thumbs up/thumbs down' for contestants....I'm in full favor of awarding stuff for the flashiest player, or best move....flair and style points if you will. Suggestions on that?

To this... I say nay.. cause not only do we have to make killing machines, but now we have to make charismatic killing machines? The only way I would agree to this is if the player were out after the match no matter what (the "audience" might really favor Saber's cool ass character, so they never give him the thumbs down, and therefore always contests with 1st place.... no..) I think last man standing would work just fine...

I mean that the audience appreciates some fancy footwork as well as brute "I swing my axe" style fighting. And like...give an award for when my character tumbles across a table and flings the beer mug as an improvised thrown weapon, finishing our opponent (not like that will happen but still...) Things of that nature, you don't need to give them 18 cha.

What I was saying (well, what I meant to say) was that this does not support the sneaky kind of character.. crowds dont like to see one person looking around then suddenly out of no where pops a dagger and the guy goes down... the crowd would hate that. I would agree to this if all the PCs were of the fighter type and dealt with direct combat somehow, but what about rogues or spell casters, who would fight indirectly...
Also, the layout for a tournament with only 6 characters is a little tricky... you pair off 3 groups of two, giving you 3 winners and 3 losers, next match, you have 2 people fighting and one on the sidelines... how will this work out (there are various methods as to how this is done, but I want to know what you will do)

I like the point buying system a lot. It will give players more freedom to customize their characters..and it's just perfect for this kinda competition. 32 is a little bit too high, but since it is a combat oriented championship, we will go will 28 points. That way players will be little more careful when using their points up. I will edit the main post accordingly.
Saber got a crowd system, I will post on that soon. But one thing for certain, there might be alternate awards as consolations but they will definitely not take away any dignity from the main winner.
Well we have 7 now, and hoping to get more. But schedualing matches is the least part of my worries, figuring that out won't be a problem.
Here's a good news, Tux will create a section for the dnd competion on the main site, allowing us to properly crown the winner. (Give a thanks to Tux when you see him if you can)

 Mayhaps we should make this an anual thing, like, DnD competitions, all about creating characters with different requirements and competitions, and sending them into competition... We could do two a year or something... And make them so everyone will like them atleast once in a while -- wizard battles, sneaking through mazes, outwitting your opponant, pure hardcore combat, so forth and so forth... end

We have enough people, so I will post some deadlines . Don't worry I am giving enough time.
/Important Dates and Details/
Monday 12 pm Eastern(that's 4 days from now)- The registration process will be closed so if anyone else want to get in this is your last chance. This is also the last chance to turn in your CS. The registration deadline will not be altered. IF for some "good and believable" reason you can't turn in your cs at this time, contact me or post here.
The Ways You can Turn in your CS- Email, MSN, PM in this forum (please don't post your cs here).
Example Group Design-After I have recieved the CS'es , I will post up the groups. Let me give you an example of how the groups will be taken care of if these 9 competitors are the final ones.
there will be 3 groups, and there will be 3 people in each group. To be fair, all you have to do is turn in your character sheet and just tell me what group you want to be in. I will not reveal to anyone who is in what group till all the groups are filled. Before picking a Group please check the post i will make later to see what groups are filled and what groups are not.
Schedualing Matches- This competition will be very flexible. 1v1 match dates will be decided by both players and me, if for some reason one doesn't make it to that date, he will forfit the match. If both doesn't make it, it becomes a draw.
You can alter the date if both player agrees to it. I don't think the dates will be a big problem considering most of the matches shouldn't be a time taking process and therfore shouldn't create stress on player's rl scheduals. There can be upto 3 matches per day (that's the maximum limit).
I have also figured out how the the players will advance to quarterfinals, semifinals and finals..but I will wait till Monday 12 pm eastern to post about that.
Ah Yes.. Have fun.

Darklook, since you did get such a response and also since I can't think of ANY character ideas for 3.0... I'll just judge, ok? That is, unless I can think of something (un-freakin'-likely).

Muddy, play the one that will win... 'Cuz then I'll beat it. I have a feeling I already know what you're thinking of. One trick pony, is all I can say. Beware anti-magic zones. I've gotten a character, and thus so far, I deem it nigh undefeatable at 3rd lvl and with limited resources.

I have submitted my contender!!! All I know is he will be fun to play, and hopefully do some killing.
Lord of Castle Black and host of the never-ending party. Collects Morganti weapons and illegal books. Likes Eastern brandy, his sword Blackwand, and going on killing sprees.

If required, I can serve as arbitrator/judge.

Sure, although I think most of the fights will be ended by -10 or lower hp status , Judges are always welcome to arbitrate any rules in question . All spectators are welcome as well.
Now Just incase any arguments rises later on, the following things ARE allowed other then normal stuffs, and if the ones who already submitted theie character want to resubmit theirs with some editing after this, that's fine.
MasterCraft Weapons, Armors, Arrows, Bolts, Shields
Specific armor or Weapons without magical enchantments such as mithril shirt (which you can't afford), darkwood shield etc. (So no sleep arrow or similar items)
Magical Scrolls
Magical Potions
Animal Companion (Only if you have it)(max hd allowed)
Also all the items mentioned above must be from either phb, dmg or mm.
Banned Items(other then the obvious ones)
Wands
If because of the above statment, you need to have one more day before submitting your character, that is alright as well.
This tournament should be fun, I am getting few very interesting characters.
Edit: Also in the mountain arena when climbing the mountain, speed will not be a factor. The only factor when climbing will be the skill "climb".

What about the grenade-like weapons? Are they allowed, or are they considered magical?
2004 DnD Tournament
They are allowed.
Also Morrolan brought this up, Familiars are also allowed, but it will cost you 100gp.
Edit:
Also Just Incase any of you doesn't have dmg, I wanted to type up the table 2-1.
Ability Score Point Costs
Ability Score--Point cost---------Ability Score-------Point Cost
9------------------1----------------------14-------------------6
10----------------2----------------------15-------------------8
11----------------3----------------------16------------------10
12----------------4----------------------17------------------13
13----------------5----------------------18-----------------16
So Basically All abilities start at 8. You take the 28 points to spread out among the abilities. For ability score up to 14 you buy them on 1-for-1 basis. For abilities above 14, it costs a little more. For example to get to 15 from 14 would cost 2. And From 17 to 18 it would cost 3.
Also you don't have to decipher the writings to use magical scroll, since I am assuming you will be buying an already identified scroll from a magic shop.

How does this system work? You pay X points and your ability score is Y? (The DMG describes this very poorly... I playtested my character at my friends house and with that exact description we devised three methods of point-buy stat gen)

Well let me give an example, i think that way i can be most clear.
so i have 28 points, now all players will start with score of 8 on each ability.
Now, Lets say i will have
Str= 16 now if i look up the chart it says it will cost 10 points to go that far from a score of 8. So i subtract 10 points.
Now i have 18 points.
Dex- 11 look up the chart again and it says 3 points..so i subtract 3 points again from 18... and now i have 15 points left.
And so on and so on. Let me know if you need further clarification.

Hmm... Slightly cocky, eh Saber? Let us hope your confidence is unfounded. I belive I may have a match for you, though now I must look once more to attempt to spot your ploy... I also deem the character I have created equally skilled, though I hope noone else has seen my idea.
As a show of power, a small amount of math shall assist in calculations of the average damage per hit, other then critical strikes, shows a result of 25.5 damage; said damage is more then enough to kill any level 3 character, save one which has taken the toughness feat.
Now though, I am torn between another which can not deal such high damage, though may have a better chance of winning. Ah well, we shall see. Besides, I am sure that we will have more of these events.
Oh yes, and one question. I am guessing we should use average results on HD for HP. Am I correct in such thinking?

Gwahahahaha, my plan has worked. I now know what you plan on doing; sadly though, I must either chance that someone else shall defeat you after seeing your now visable plans, or create a character with the sole purpose of destroying you. I would count you lucky as I do not plan on giveing away your plan any more then you already have.
Sigh, choices, choices.

The best part of all of this is... You actually don't know what I'm doing. No Reaper Wizard/Sorcerer for me. Suck on them apples.

2004 DnD Tournament
Awwww... too bad, without changing a thing my character is totally immune to reaper wizard/sorcerers :P, ah well, i'll have to survive whatever else you plan to dish out
"If knowledge is power, then to be unknown is to be unconquerable."
-Romulan Motto
2004 DnD Tournament
I kinda doubt you'd be 'immune' to the Reaper Wizard. The closest I could come to being immune would be to be a Dwarven Cleric with 18 Wisdom, 16 (18) Con and the Travel domain. I think the Protection domain helps too.
*thinks for a moment*
Oooohhh... A Dwarven Paladin with an 18 Wisdom and a... Crap, nevermind. The -2 to Cha hurts 'em there... Heh. Dunno then. If you go with the Dwarven Cleric w/ super Wisdom, you'd have a +9 vs Will saves vs spells, and the Reaper Wizard's DC would be 19... So... You'd have to roll a 10 (Remember, this is the best case scenario... Sucks, huh?) or higher, 55% of success, to avoid falling asleep. Now, you could argue that I'd have to roll a -gasp- 3 or higher on 2d4 which I'd have a...
*does some statistical work*
A 1/16 chance of failing at, or approximately 6-7% failure rate... So, on any one given Sleep spell...
*thinks for another second*
DUH! Elf. Ok... Well, you still aren't immune to the other version of the Reaper Wizard: The Reaper Cleric. Hold Person, 2nd level, +1 DC and no rolling. You could have the same save bonus (+9) but I wouldn't have the small chance of rolling too low of HD, so you'd have a 50% chance of success whenever the Reaper Cleric cast Hold Person. The Reaper Cleric would be able to make you roll that twice, so you'd have a 25% chance of saving vs. his spells. And remember... Best case scenario.
Boom.
*decides to finish the statisticals for the Sleep case*
So, on any one Sleep spell, you'd have a (45% * 93% = 41% [roughly]) 59% chance of succeeding in saving vs. any given Sleep spell, all variables included. Now, if this was an intelligent player and made a Reaper Sorcerer, you'd be saving against Sleep upto 5 times! Even two times it starts to get really difficult to save in a row:
59% * 59% = 35%
59% * 59% * 59% = 21%
...and then even a fourth try...
59% * 59% * 59% * 59% = 13%
...13% chance to save against four castings of Sleep (assuming you're not an Elf, and again, in best case scenario).
Wow, I am such a horrible min/maxist.
EDIT: Ooohhh! Just before I submitted this, I thought of something that would increase your chances of success even more! Instead of 3 lvls of Cleric, take one of Cleric, one of Wizard, and one of Sorcerer. You're gonna be a big ball of suck for everything else, but your Will save bonus would be +12 (if you're an Elf or Dwarf). This gives you a lot better chance.
*shrugs*
It's a good thing I'm not doing the Reaper Wizard/Sorcerer, or else this would give away a lot of info.

Hmm.... plans within plans within plans... Sorry, just reread Dune recently. Well then, I am at a loss as to how you could force someone into becoming a helpless defender. At first, I thought a Monk may be able to do such things with his stunning attack, but alas, no avail. Such things do not matter though, as I am confident in my character, soon I hope to start this event... Time to finish buying items for my character.
