O,o Help
Well heres how it is. I am fed up with the world of mmorpgs and such. I have always wanted to play pen and paper games like D&D but I don't like commuting and the such. I know nothing about these type of games except you follow a campaign thingy and there are rolls for almost anything...I look at a character sheet once but yeah, you've probably seen those things. I am a noob is so many aspects, I've heard I need to read a 50 buck manual. I was wondering if anyone else like me out there or a veteran that wouldn't mind helping me along with all this. I don't type so you have no idea what you are reading and I'm not an idiot, although I do have my moments of idiotcy. All help is appreciated, please don't hurt me >_<.

for the most part people here play Dungeons and Dragons 3.5e(dition), but you can find a few that will play StarWars d20, Shadowrun 4e, and potentially a Vampire player or two.
I'm sure if i've left something out, someone will try and make me look like a fool and point it out.
You can read through the book online @ http://www.d20srd.org/ For now, stick to the stuff on the very left most of the page and follow the links inside. If you'd prefer a pdf, send me a private message and add me to msn. If you don't have msn, you'll have to find someone who has another program.

Arch, you forgot those of us who play FURPS!! GEEEZZZ...
Anyway, a lot of times, it's harder to learn a game like this just by looking at the rulebooks. I always felt that the rulebooks are great tools to get you started, but you really learn the game once you start playing. If a willing DM is happy to teach you if you join a campaign of his, I'd say go for it.

Just because I can't resist that...
Most people here play DnD 3.5. There's other systems on here, but they aren't as dominant. I also, potentially, play/run anything. From Dungeons and Dragons to old Star Wars to games no one has ever heard of before :)
