Your user name and password from the current forums will work, I encourage everyone to take a look around and examine it. I have some great ideas regarding the new software and the site.
I'll go into more detail later, or you can catch me on aim most nights.

That SNAFU should be fixed. If you're able to login and are a DM be sure to add your campaign to the calendar!

Everyone should be able to post questions, forums, submit articles, and vote on posts.
Currently the ability to edit & create pages, answer questions and such is locked. Please do submit any questions, calendar events, articles, etc to fill it out and so we can see how it looks. Leave the forums alone save for browsing and playing around.
If I decide to finalize the move, I'll lock these forums, do a final convert and then open those forums. Hence, anything posted in the TW forums may disappear at random.
If you're interested in editing pages, especially converting pages over to re-flesh out the site to its prior bare-bones form, let me know. I'll editor-you-up.
Thanks!

Looks pretty good Brad. I like the look of these forums more than I do the wiki forums, but that's just me :P
Other than that, looks like it could definitely be a good move. I'll help with whatever I can, just let me know where I might be needed, and I'll see what I can do to help.

I want to set up a formal system of some sort, for those involved in OPnPW. But for the moment, here's what I'm envisioning needed:
--Conversion of Current Pages--
--Current Campaigns Summarized-- (Consult w/ the DMs)
--Review of Forums/Posts to ensure the conversion is solid--
--Transition Helpers--
-----These folks would get in and really learn the new software and help others learn it.
--New Client Software Feature/Progress Manager--

Ok. So essentially:
1 - Transfer the pages currently on OPnPW to the Tiki (News/Software/FAQs/etc)
2 - Get campaigns that are running switched over to the tiki, after talking to the DM's (it would probably be better to allow the DM's to move their own campaigns over, not sure if that's feasible out of the box)
3 - Review the forums. Basically just go over the posts, make sure nothing not missed?
4 - People to help transfer the stuff over
5 - Get something in to tell people about new versions
Sound right? If so, I can take at least one of those. Transferring pages over shouldn't be too much of a hassle, for instance. And I can probably do some of the review (due to the breadth of the forum, it might be a good idea to have one person, at least, per section to make sure everything's there).
And as for helping to transfer stuff over... I've done wiki-work, but not exactly 'extensive'. I learn quickly, and can get the gist of it down if you were looking for something on that front.
As far as a progress manager... it's possible. I'd have to see more of what you envision ^_^. It could just be as easy as a 'What's new' page, with a human-made list though.

Prety close, my only correction is on point 2. At some point, if the DM's want to administer their own sections and pages that's fine. Right now, I'm looking for someone to get summaries and players, that sort of thing, up of each campaign. If the DMs each step up and do it themselves so be it, I however imagined a central figure stepping in and drafting summaries with the DMs input.
Currently the wiki is editable by all registered members. Before we gung-ho begin putting together pages, perhaps some thought should be organized on structure?
I'm enjoying this wiki, for instance, it took me something like twelve seconds to take my forum post/idea, and turn it into a page. That's amazingly handy, and it's going to allow non-syntaxical folks to get involved. I can envision DM's really liking this, if they were shown. Especially those big into home-rules, or even full systems.
Multi seems rather into it, anyone else care to toss their hat in?

I'm most certainly going to take advantage of calendar scheduling and throwing up a campaign page (its use is mentally penciled into my current campaign-in-the-making). For other stuff, I'm sure I can pick up any slack Multi might leave behind, but atm I'm kinda mentally stretched due to learning a new job.
Should clear up by the end of next week at the latest.

Yeah. One of the benefits about the tiki system would be for campaigns. DM's can house their own tiki page (or twenty, or whatever) that discusses their game. A ink therein leads to the thread concerned.
Or, Saber could take his FFRPS there instead of confining it solely within a forum, or whatever. It does get more mutability to the site, I would deny that.
My biggest concern is what may happen if all of the members were editors. Granted, I'd like to think we don't have anything to worry about with most of the regulars, but you do have those people that just come on. Just food for thought, not intended to speed up/slow down plans any.
What I can do with the campaigns is take something like a snapshot of the first post. That usually contains a summary/background of the campaign, as well as a listing of the players. Via the siki, I can probably set it up so that the user names point at profiles (character profiles on the wiki page, where people can put down a character sheet, or info about their character, etc), stuff like that. An interim thought.
I'd rather the GM did. Not out of lack of desire to do it, but it makes the most sense because they are most invested in the campaign :P, but aye, I know what you mean.

Yeah Arch. I was able to find a post and confirm that you do exist in the wiki. I know I was able to use my PW for this forums on it. You said you already tried to log in and it failed?
If so, Brad could probably reset your password to the wiki, and you can change it back.

Alright, Saber got the campaign section going, although its still pretty spartan.
I've checked our scheduling forum and it seems the following campaigns are on-going, or recent, and haven't been edited in yet. If the DMs could, or if they could communicate with myself, or possibly any of the other interested editors, i'd like to get it fleshed out.
I do want recent campaigns, even if they've concluded.

I did like the way Saber did the campaign up. I'll say that's one good thing about the wiki, where you can add pages for things like characters without a problem. That way people can't really 'lose' their character sheet (even if, for instance, their hard drive died). And it's just so much cleaner and more organized looking. That's just me though.

I think I'm broken. I can't figure that site out very well, but it's most likely because I sat there for about 10 minutes, didn't know what to do, fiddled around with stuff, probably broke a few things, and had fun doing it. Overall, its layout isn't as bright and/or happy as the OPnPW forums, but I say that it looks promising.

I thought it was great, and nearly perfected the forum transfer software I wrote. Except nobody was really into it, and the driving factor was: would the community pick up and assume the duty of building the site. And sadly, OPnPW isn't in a stage for that kind of community involvement.

Tiki-wiki works great on Ubuntu. Mozilla Firefox, Netscape, even Lynx! Unless you were talking about OPnPW, in which case the long standing answer applies. Go "find" windows like everyone else, or mess around with Cedega or Wine.

Cedega=money, and I don't think it would make a difference. It's mostly for directx applications, not VB based ones.
Wine...dunlop and I have both toyed with wine a plenty. We even got it to install...that's about as far as it goes.

Well, thus is the nature of stepping outside of a standardized install base.
