Yep, I read the forums daily... translation: I mark the only regularly updated thread as read (Kinger's City of Towers campaign thread). It's not that I don't have time to post. I'm out of school until August because of a full-time internship and I'm still trying to accumulate enough work to not have to surf the internet.

Anyway, I've been busy looking around the internet for interesting (to me) programming projects that need another programmer. It's that, work, and friends that make up my life these days.

i still come around and lurk evcery now and again, but seeing as there are no posts of intrest usually to post to, and nothing much to say on my part, i only drop by every week or so.

I am still here. I check the forums every few days.. but nobody really posts anything anymore.. and I attempted a post a while back to which nobody replied.. so.. I just check and hope that someone will post something sometime to spark up interest again.

I havent been around in months, but I am sure my reasons are the same as everyone elses. I work now, have an internship and still go to school, graduating in May. Online gaming done well requires a lot of thought, patience and imagination to do text based games via chat and do t hem well. One of these days though...it'd be nice to return and tell a story or two. Depends on who is around, and btw hi everyone its been literally months. I am not dead!

Yeah, that does seem to be the case for most of us. Everyone's got more demanding jobs and other RL concerns.

I've been tempted to run a SerenityRPG game... But I'm not sure I feel like commiting to running a game again yet. Maybe those feelings will change once I read through the rules and such thereof.

I suppose it would also matter if there was actually any interest in such a thing.

this looks like a nice little thread to update everyone as to my whereabouts (or at least keanya, cuz of course she still cares)

been driving for 10 weeks, yay. driven in LA, San Bernadino, NYC, Philly, Jersey, conneticut, and uh, pretty much everywhere in between. the only area i haven't hit is the north western portion of the USA, past utah, and of course canada. however i feel the impending doom of a canada load hovering over my shoulder, and have the eerie and oh so unhappy feeling i will very soon be running the customs gauntlet to get into canada with a load of refrigerated goods.... damn.

i've hauled hersheys candies, they give free candy bars out at the plant, i've hauled frozen lasagna, like you'd buy in wal-mart, produce of all sorts, and other stuff that doesn't pop into mind right now.

that's the update, just thought keanya would be interested to hear about it. fading out for another 4 weeks minimum, which will mark the next time i'm around the house. might use an internet kiosk at a truckstop to get on the internet, but until i get a laptop on the truck i will not be a regular reccurrence. grammar nazi's enjoy yourselves, i've got typos :P

As for the insider scoop on the Rutgers Women's Basketball team, this is my view (and by my view, I want you to know I live one floor directly above 6 of the players, all of which gave statements):

First, what Imus said was mean, stupid, degrading and what have you, but what's freedom of speech for if not for the ability to say such things? Now there's so many caveats on freedom of speech, so I won't get into the logistics of it, but I don't think it should have elevated to such a level, and I definitely don't think Rev. Al Sharpton should have even been involved in this at all.

That being said, there's also freedom to assembly, and freedom to protect your rights (specifically here the ones against discrimination). If it were to have gone my way, this is how I think it should have gone down. He makes his comments, Coach Stringer announces her feelings on the topics, Imus formally apologizes, case closed. What transpired here was not motivated by anger or pain, it was motivated by money. It's sad what we see on the news and what really is, sometimes.

This has been a huge deal here at Rutgers, mainly because people didn't expect us to get past the second round, and we made it to the final round. Besides, who the fuck makes fun of the underdog? That's just uncalled for.

Now that you know what the insider's scoop was, you can feel free to judge knowing that you know the facts.

@Solace: Bahaha... I really can't believe that Imus got fired for what he said. I'm not at all saying that I support him, but his reputation is that of an outspoken radio host whose degrading comments are often sexist, racist, or otherwise discriminatory. I find it comical that he was fired over what he said about the Rutger's team in light of the many other, much worse, things that he's said before. Did he deserve a 2-week suspension? At the least, but he deserved suspensions many times before as well. Did he deserve to be fired? Since he'll probably move to satellite radio and make even more money, this is not the winning outcome it was made out to be.

I rooted for Rutgers, but I didn't tell anyone that it was because of a kid I used to RP with online.

Haha... Tensillis Mettle. Well, here's what I recall:

Tensillis Mettle fell apart, leaving you and Alphajackal as the leaders, which quickly fell to just you. Huge membership drops occured in the meantime, as expected, since many players followed the original leaders while a few stayed behind due to loyalty/promises of leadership. Multi, Dukey, and I became co-Dukes when you left and did what we could to hold the strongly geographically-divided tribe together, which worked until the tribe started to get attacked at the same time from many enemies. In-fighting between Aria Hiryu and Multi led Aria to try to get favor with Dukey and myself (probably to use it against him), but our loyalty stayed with Multi, who eventually disappeared at after he had just returned from real-life drama. I don't remember how long he was gone, but I had a last good laugh by starting a small tribal feud* and quit before Multi returned. I'm pretty sure that we eventually left Aria at the helm. I don't remember. Something about "She's complained for 2 months about how she should do a better job, blah blah blah..." you know, the usual.

* I did the usual thing where you tell 3 or 4 people "You can have my village if you take it quickly, so attack me now because I want to restart near my allies." Tribes X and Y accepted and began simple scouting attacks. Meanwhile, Tribe Y had been plotting with Tribe Z to go to war with Tribe X, but Tribe Z was afraid of being blamed for starting a war, so they wouldn't have anything to do with it unless the war was started by Tribe X. Somehow, I tricked a player from Tribe X to attack a player from Tribe Z's Training Tribe so I could take that village and build anew. Shit explodes. Mikkl quits. gga. I think Tribe Y ended up conquering X and Z after they destroyed each other.

if your ever in the west end of Canada, Clay, we could hang out. Milo would probably come along too.... especially given that we live together now.
