Mel hasn't replied to this thread, but he said he's gonna join. If/when he does, that'll be our five. If anyone else wants to join, I'll take a 6th position, but you'll kind of be 'on deck', waiting to see if one person drops.

Sorry it's gotta be that way, but the adventure is for 5 players, and since I'm just as new to 4E as anyone else, and the adventure doesn't include 'scaling' suggestions, I'd rather not mess with it. I want to see what this system is supposed to do 'as is'.

EDIT: If this thing goes well enough, and we all happen to enjoy the new system/game, I'll consider picking up the books and continuing the game. However, right now, the game will be only as long as the module, and thus will last from 1st to 3rd level.

Yeah, I'm in depending on scheduling, but I'll do my best to make it work.

Okay, so, we've got our five, even if Mel can't follow directions (meaning, choose your top three premade choices, please).

What times work for everyone? Here are my potentially available days:

Mon-Fri = Any time after 6pm until about 10:30pm CST (later if need be on Fridays)
Saturday = Any time until about 5pm (most weeks, some weeks I'm available all day)
Sunday = All day

Please let me know what times would work for you. Also, Acid, since our games have the same players, feel free to shotgun a timeslot for you games. We'll make sure your game takes priority over my own.

I can make any of those except for the Saturday time (I could make Saturday evening though).

Also, I installed MapTool and forwarded the port on my router, so I can run a server for the game.

Any time really works for me. If I had to pick a day to reserve for AotA I would say Thursday, but if that really is a good time for this game that would be fine.

Might be a little late but I'd be willing to try to play the 6th character. Whatever you have left. If given a choice I'd say Paladin, then rouge then cleric.

Im in iraq so my hours are odd, but I can usually be pretty flexible to things. Sundays and saturdays are good for me, by the time you guys are awake and around I should be off work.

So, as it stands, I see no conflicts with character choices (again, Mel still hasn't actually followed directions and told me his 3 character choices... But whatever) and thus the team should look as follows:

Striker - Tiefling Warlord
Acid - Human Wizard
Arch - Halfling Rogue
Morro - Dwarf Fighter
Mel - Human Loser (?)

On Deck:
Squirll - Dragonborn Paladin

It looks like those of us who have posted (cough Mel, Morro, cough) can make a game on Sunday evening so would it be possible to play tomorrow?

Sunday evening probably not the best, well actually I don't know about what time frame you are all willing/able to play in. Afternoons work well on Sunday's/Mondays though.

Being in Iraq my time schedule is a bit different... Im 8 hour difference from central time.
Makes it simpler in some manners because my missions are in the mornings when its about 2200-0400 your guys time. So I can adjust my sleep schedule to be awake when people in the states are awake.
( I do it often to talk to my fiance)
So Mid day or early evening on today (sunday) would work for me. I'll be around. Even during the week possibly. Just let me know what works for the majority and I;ll adjust.

By premade characters we mean EVERYTHING is premade? Including stat rolls and permanant feats? Because if I play the dragon I want wings, not breath weapon

Where are these premade character Saber? I would like to look at mine, at the very least, as an example of a human wizard.

No I looked up the Dragonborn character traits, They can choose one body focus of the dragon, breath, mind, wings and a few others. with wings I can glide and slow falls in light load then at like level 8 you get to fly. Pretty cool stuff.

I think you misunderstood. This is a 4th edition game (we're playing [url=http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=products/dndacc/217187400]this module[/url] but the only one of us who has it is Saber). From what I've read, dragonborn are a core race in 4th edition but they have different traits than they did in 3rd edition. So the rules aren't the same.

It looks like WotC released [url=http://www.wizards.com/dnd/files/TieflingWarlord.zip]the Tiefling Warlord[/url] but the rest are exclusive to the module. :?

Hmm, I suppose your correct, the traits i looked up were probably 3.0.. it would be a pity though if 4th edition took out one of the coolest traits of the DRagonborn >.<

I liked what I had read of it, wouldn't make sense to me to take that away, but we'll see.

I suppose since they made dragonborn a main race they would have to take out stuff like that.

I'll get you guys something Tuesday. I've been very busy this past weekend (I've worked harder in the past two days than I've worked collectively over the past two months), but after tonight, this week is free.

How does either this Saturday or this Sunday work for an introduction to 4E combat mechanics? I'd like to run a combat-only session to introduce everyone (including myself) to 4E combat, and I think this would be a great way by running an example battle or two.

After reading over the module and characters, I realize that 4E requires the use of miniatures and a combat map (or their equivalent). So, I found a pretty nice program that we can use for that purpose.

Ooooh. I like the Dragonborn Pally. Except they did give him breath weapon, makes me wonder if 4th ed will indeed get the various dragon abilities that you can choose one of.

We ran a test game, it wasn't anything too special. Just got a feel for the combat mechanics. Two fights.

Sadly, you posted about 5 minutes after we finished the second fight... So we were already done by the time you noticed. Don't worry, though; I think I'll be able to adjust the encounters for the module, and I'll let you jump in on the game. So you won't need to worry about being a 'reserve' player.

I'd honestly prefer saturday because I might be on a mission sunday that time (it would be 2am here) Saturday we don't have missions since its our maintanance day.
