Absolutely awesome. It actually sounds better than most of the crap i run across 'im making a continmous dnd game, wanna play or dm post here' is one of the worst. But this is just hilarious. Whats worse is the realization of: 'Shit! I've played in games like this!'. Which is usually followed by "Oh yeah... i broke that campaign. Meh."

If it's any consolation though, I have been gearing up for DMing a legitimate, not-parody game for 3.5E based around a desert world. I've got a lot of it fleshed out, and I'll post on it shortly.

EDIT: Oh, and considering the game wants a 2E barbarian, priest, sorcerer, or bard, I'm gonna go with nobody created a legitimate character sheet

okay, so theres this guy who is evil, and he will go to war because he is evil with the only other cnoutry, the good guys. but then the king will give you adventurers lots of gold if you manage to save the country somehow. the twist is that the king is actually an elf and elves in my campign ar e actually demons but only you guys know that. the bad guy is also a shocker I BET YOU NEVER GUESS WHAT HE IS ITS NOT A RED DRAGON youll have to join my game to find out. well anyway you get a message from the tavern guy that the oracle says to totally go somewhere, but i havent actually planned any of this out so youll have to wait for me to come up with it.

my uber campaign is called The Red Dragon. its my first time ever on PnP, so I think that is a good reason for me to start this? ive never DMed and you guys don't k now me, but my campaign title is The Red Dragon and my dad totally owns a dealership so its okay. THERE MIGHT BE RED DRAGONS, WAIT AND SEE. dont worry i am a good DM i have dmed lots of times

when you make your character it needs to be 2e (will always be the best edition ever) with my custom stat generation method of 5d6 drop the lowest and the highest. there will be no spheres of annihilation allowed DONT ASK WHY cuz my dad totally owns a dealership. and you cant be an elf. you are not allowed to play your favorite class cause theyre too powerful. only play my classes which are sorcerer, barbarian, bard, and preist and i have specia l rules for all of these like sorcerers dont have to prepare spells and bards are real cool

my game uses special rules for magic: if you want to nkow what they are you shuld attach some srt of mind reading device to my head and just watch that 24/7 cause i change the rules every week dpeneding on what animes i see that week. this week there is this setup of 4 elments which you will pick:

sword magick (things like shooting lasers from your sword)
air magick
fire magick
ninja magick

if you still dont understand msg me and i wiil show u how it works by throwing you against ninjas who wield magic but its okay i know you guys will liek it.

gold works like this: roll 1d6, add 3 to the result, and you add the number you think my iq is to that. also i am making a map for my totally custom campaign which will consist of me opening up paint, trying and failing to draw a circle, then putting dots on it and badly coloring it, then putting it on my dad's dealership website

Yeah, I was extremely bored.

Lately, I haven't seen this happen very often, (As I type this though, 6 posts from the top a DM says: [quote]Im sarting a new one its called The White Wizard[/quote]>.<) But I still boggle at most of these posts wondering what the heck were these people smoking? Honestly, I stare at these and ponder if the guy who wrote them knows what they're doing.

Online DMing takes dedication, maturity, and experience, and when you post crap like this, you obviously show none of them. Not to stifle new online DMs, but quite frankly, your only hope is to pretend you're not new. You need to plan a lot more than a normal online DM would, and you definately need to be CLEAR, FLEXIBLE, and stick to the standard 3.5E stuff before you go off on a tangent or try ot use the oldest known rules to man. You also need to get to know us first, and let us get to know you. When the above is your FIRST AND LAST POST, you really just don't sound serious.

The above is based on an actual post. Note, that the post this is based off of had 4 people take it seriously. I wish I could see how the first session goes, but seeing as there was no second session: below is what I imagine happened for the first.
