"Silver Lining" DnD 3.5 Scheduling
I'll be starting a new campaign for 3.5 DnD. It will be held on Monday(DnD chat triaxe prefered), and Thursday nights(Open RPG program prefered): 7pm EST to 12pm EST
I have decided the game will indeed be played on Open RPG, the tangled web server as per the norm here.
It will be a homebrew game and the following sources are allowed for feats, spells, and items:
All Wizard products, including Magic of Incarnum, Heroes of Battle, and the newer suppliments. All outdated material that has been republished will take the most recent product, such as 3.0 Tome and Blood will be replaced by Complete Arcana rules and descriptions and so forth. I have spell compendium and a number of other suppliments printed by wizards so feel free to use what you have. (In other words, anything in current print. Webenchancements are considered up to date.)
To clarify races allowed: PHB Races are allowed.
Eberron and Faerun Campagin book races are allowed.
No other suppliment or article displaying a race that isn't already in those campagin settings
will be allowed to play.
Classes allowed are any base class from any book, campagin or suppliment. PrC will be availible in the same sense.
Starting Level will be 5th with appropriate gold listed in the DMG. I am not limited people on what they can buy with thier starting gold, nor is any magic item unallowed from the given sources.
Stats will be determined from a point pool. If this is discomforting you may roll 4d6 drop the lowest. Otherwise do the following:
Roll 24d6, and put points from tha tpool into stats on a one to one basis starting at 0 each. Hence if you have 80(Average roll) you may place a maximum of 18 into strength, and have 62 points remaining to place. You may not place more than 18 points in a single stat and no less than 8. Racial modifiers apply, so if you have 18 points in dexterity you will have 20 dex. Conversely is you 18 points in con as an elf you will have 16 constitution.
I will be taking a max of five players. Have your sheets from tangled web filled out in full, and either message me or posted to this thread for my ok. I won't be taking word documents or other formats. Palladinthug (AT) gmail.com if you are in need of further explination or want a character sheet looked at and approved.
Since the world is homebrewed I prefer to tell only that you will be starting in a growing city where there will be plenty of work for adventurers. A map will be provided, along with a trade route to larger cities. You may decide to stay or leave for someplace you feel may suit you better as a group.
The starting town is "Silver Town", named for the bountiful silver mines around which the city grew up. There are plenty of churches, a market, and a foundation for the mage's guild in progress of being built up. There are private blacksmiths and refiners who process the iron, and silver in town who sell thier products.
We will be taking basic DnD Pantheon found in the PHB. The history of the town is that the mines were once owned by the current intentured servants working it under the commands of humans who operate the trade routes.
There are alot of riots and currently the forces of Cuthburt are the active disiplining force of the town and it's law enforcement, so between that and protecting the trade routes they don't even have anyone to watch the temple more than often.EmmetLightmane: The Pelor devoutees have been ordered by the mayor not to heal or cure afflictions of any of the mine works until the more dangerous mines are unboarded and worked in again despite heavy infestations of vermin and posioning.
The Mayor is obsessed with making the qouta for trading scheduals. The constant threat of kobold miners stealing from the qouta of silver and iron ore in addition to the lizard men attacking the trade routes made him order the clerics and fighters of cuthburt stick to the protection of the routes as their priority, and neglect the town. Thus riots and boarding up of mines with no one to reopen them are now frequent. The mines are in the lesser races district and any humanoiad not one of them gets beat severly by disgruntled over worked miners.
A map will be provided for players soon. Thank you for reading this far.
I would like to mention at this time that I do not approve of the vigalantism of Superman, and I have a Kryptonite collection I'd like to send him. Also if he ever does decide to wear the underwear on the inside of his costume properly, he'd best wash it first.
Note:
I don't have rows upon rows of house rules. Nor do I railroad. You work and decide things as you go.
You aren't playing the adventure solo. Lone wolfs need not apply.
If a conflict arises in the characters it will be handled amongst the characters unless it interupts game play
I believe in Balance. I won't allow two mage types into the game, or a similar situation.
I don't give hand outs, or hold your hand. You're adventurers. You are on your own essentially. You depend on each other.
Most of all we are here to have fun! Rule one have fun!
