Brad- I tried to post this as a "story" thinking it would show up in the news, but it didn't; I guess you can delete the story.
 
Anywho, my power's knocked out along with a lot of other people in southwest Ohio.  From what I hear, it should be back by Wednesday and then I'll get the server back up.

Yay!! My power came back last

Yay!! My power came back last night.  Not having electricity for 3 days was pretty relaxing, but realizing how dependent America is on electricity scared me a bit.  All perishable food went bad without refrigeration, so most people had to eat at restaurants.  And the few restaurants that still had electricity in my area ran out of food by Monday night.
 
Anyway, back to slashdot and the rest of my eLife.  Hopefully everyone gets their power back soon.

Glad you have power, Mikkl. Mine was back Tuesday morning, but as of this morning I still don't have cable and thus no internet, so I've been staying on campus for most of the day over this week. (Dependent on the internet? Me? Never...)

I'm still working out all the kinks with the system, the way it works is it shows "news" content. Which you should now be able to see.
