Sometimes I wonder why people register here and do nothing with their accounts.  Do they think there's some secret forum where the registered users hide?

Mikkl, you were graduating right? How are the grad school apps going?

I just graduated in December. (hoorah)
 
My grad school apps have all been submitted, so it's just a waiting game these days.  I was accepted to U. Illinois at Chicago and had a phone interview with Northwestern.  I haven't heard a thing from the others.
 
Applying was a pain in the ass, but waiting for a response might just kill me.

Yea, I have a friend who applied to like 15 Ph.D. programs and had only heard from 5 schools, all rejections as of last week. At least you are faring better than him.
 
Seems like I'll be going through the same process this time next year...

Another update: I got accepted to a few more schools, haven't heard from 3, and got a few rejections.  I visited most of the ones I cared about and it looks like I'll be accepting Northwestern's offer some time this week.

Hey guys, is anyone's schedule cleaning up at all? I miss gaming with you guys, and am willing to run a game if I have to! That's good to hear. I hope some more old lurkers pop out of hiding to join us. However, if the game is gonna be D&D and you don't mind newcomers, I think the WotC Online Games forum is a good place to look ( http://forums.gleemax.com/forumdisplay.php?f=598 ). I've joined a few play-by-posts and posted a game that, sadly, I could not commit to at the time. But I found that there are plenty of players lurking out there. As for Shadowrun, I would be up for a game of that but I'm only familiar with the 4th Edition. Anyway, good to hear from you. Let's get a game going!
