Here I hope to create a collection of short stories based in the FFRPS Campaign Setting. If you've got something you'd like to submit, PM me with what you've got and we'll make it work.

Hope you enjoy!

Update/Change Log

Big update today:

Removed cleric class entirely

Modified Mystic (now Oracle): Gave them two domains instead of one. Allowed them to choose what spells they know at the beginning of each day, allowing them to change their spells known list on a daily basis. Also made them a purely Cha-based spellcaster (instead of half-Wis, half-Cha). Changed name to Oracle.

Added Sage: Divine Int-based spellcaster that uses a spellbook to memorize spells. Has class abilities that are dependent upon Knowledge skills.

FFRPS v2 Scratchpad

I'll be using this thread to scribble notes about FFRPS v2, which is based off of Shadowrun (4th Ed) and its d6 system. Feel free to comment below.

Materia and Magicite

Since I'm at work, I'm gonna use the forums to post my chicken scratchings regarding Materia and Magicite.

With Materia, I plan on having a few different categories or types:

One type of Materia will allow you to learn spells. I think I'm going to make this Materia varying shades of red.

These spells can be cast either through MP or through prepared or memorized spells per day. This allows all characters to cast spells, while still making primary spellcasting classes the powerhouses of magic.

Project?

New initiative idea!

[color=darkred]Woo! After a long time of thought and rethought, I came up with a reasonable, working initiative system. It's gonna work a LOT like the ETUCS, only... Different. Here, see below for example:

There are two characters, Morro the Soldier (initiative +1) and Shadow the Ninja (initiative +7). So... The two combatants roll initiative.

Morro gets a respectable 18 on his initiative roll. Shadow gets a 22, however. Now... How does this new initiative system work?

on Races

I suppose this is a good a place to start as any:

Which FF is this based on, on is it kind of all of them suished together, an average of all FF games?

Regardless, Breifly glancing through and noticing lots of missing or broken links I have a few questions to help clear up the races.

Behemoth -
favored class is behemoth?
i presume this goes back to the FF2 (en) days in which the behemoth is a huge creature to begin with (sprite wise anyway).
If behemoth starts out medium sized and at level 5 suddenly goes large, there is an implied growth.
